@IRetrouk Is that a serious question? 1440p/1080p upscaled looks meh on a 4K tv. You're stretching a 1080/1440p image across a 4k pixel radius, this produces artifacting which leaves a result less crisp than at native resolution. The bicubic filtering implemented makes the aliasing quite noticeable from objects nearer or farther away too. Compared to a monitor running a game at native 4k resolution, even that close to you still get a crispier result.
Which console? Xbox One X only supports 'true' 4k with a handful of titles and PS4 uses a checkerboard method that looks worse than native 1440p on PC. A reminder you're using this as an argument for a game, a ubisoft game at that, which is clearly not in an even remotely optimized state as of yet in it's development at ultra settings.

The majority won't bother so it's a niche, if not a severely negligible return, as demonstrated in the past with the reverse. The majority simply won't, even at the risk of missing out, it's why concerns over ports are first and foremost the main concern in people's minds and open discussion before platforms.
