When did the cogs of fate begin to turn?

Two different games. They cannot really be compared. I got the plat in GoW and I am still playing Octopath as we speak. I would not choose one over the other because they offer a different experience from one another.

To pick one would be little more than picking if you like western style action/adventure or JRPGs more.

Same here, so much untapped potential. It was a bit on the short side sure, but the gunplay was top notch.

FFXIV was not scrapped and remade. A Realm Reborn took place immediately after FFXIV and the events of the original are still canon.

But yeah, the game was rebranded as A Realm Reborn and changed in many ways, just like I said in my first comment. I agree MS will likely not put in the same effort SE did, it would just be nice if they did.

That would have helped. Or even a F2P beta with the option to buy the full game when it was actually ready.

Yeah, Activision would not have been much better. I just wish Nintendo at least held on to the IPs. MS just let them there to rot...but after Banjo Nuts and Bolts...maybe that was for the best.

Hopefully MS can turn Sea of Thieve around though. I had a genuine interest in it at one point.

This is one of my all time favorite IPs, and I wish it would come back. I loved Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger, and beat both countless time. This intro video always has, and always will, give me chills everytime I see it and hear that music.

To be fair, I think MS was trying to push it out for their gamepass library. So the blame is more on MS than Rare themselves. I swear MS acquiring them killed that studio IMO.

HDR gives so much more to visual quality than 4K does. I am all for this!

I loved the game, beat it twice and got the plat. It had a lot of untapped potential and I feel it deserves another shot. The criticism the first got was deserved, but what was there was great IMO.

Let the learn from their mistakes and move forward with the IP. If they listen to the feedback from the first, we could have a real gem on our hands.

I agree. You cannot erase history, but we can learn from it and move forward. Hiding it is just running from your past, but it will always be there to hunt you.

By outlawing it, as you said, it is made stronger and garners even more attention...this time for a worse reason. Controversy will always empower the controversial, and the sooner everyone realizes that, the better.

I care, so yes it is bull. .any care about Bethesda's games.

DOOM
Wolfenstein
Elder Scrolls
Fallout
Rage 2

Bethesda has more going on than people realize it seems. HOWEVER...with that said...do you honestly believe that they are going to cut out 50% of the gaming market?

No they are just blowing PR up our asses and backing MS like they always have. This is nothing new, and nothing will change f...

It will likely sell like hotcakes on the Switch...seems pretty viable to me.

Also you have no idea how small the port team is. They tend to be smaller while the main teams are working on something else. 9 months is a short time, and for a game like this well worth the investment.

That is what I am curious about as well. Solo and even duo will likely be fine. Four will be the real test.

@Juras

What does that have to do with the fact that the Switch version will be vastly superior to the PS360 versions?

2733d ago 9 agree3 disagreeView comment

The game ran on PS360, the Switch runs all PS360 games better than those versions.

You are really reaching lol.

All they had to do was make a complete game, and it would have been fine. For now, this one of the weakest exclusives in the X1 library IMO, and says a lot.

There is hope though, they seem to be updating it and adding content regularly. Final Fantasy XIV released as an incomplete mess as well, thought to be a failure. Fast forward to the rebranding as "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn" and it had become one of the best and most popular MMORPGs of its time. He...

I feel like these issues should have been addressed before the port was rushed out. It has been available on consoles for over half a year now, a little more time for proper polish would have been a non factor IMO.

Nine months is not too bad considering it is the base game, all DLC, some exclusive content, and the fact that it is either an upgraded version of the PS360 versions, or a downgraded version of the PS4/X1 versions.

2733d ago 8 agree7 disagreeView comment

Yeah that is what I did, but my timing still was not as good. I traded my base PS4 for 165, and picked up a few new PS4 games they had on sale for a total of 160...

Persona 5
Monster Hunter World
Dragonball FighterZ
Assassin's Creed Origins

Overall, I feel I made a good deal. When you factor in the value if the games, I ended up only paying 235 for my Pro. Even if I waited though, I still might have walked away with simil...

@Foxtrot

I agree, they need to reboot it like you said. While I enjoyed 3 more than 2 (loved it in fact), I hate how they killed off Hale. Despite 3 being a dar superior game, I felt a disconnect from the protagonist and unless we can bring Hale back somehow, I feel that same disconnect will be there if they just try to do a sequel.
