Yeah Drake is Uncharted. I feel a new IP would be better than dragging out a finished story.

"Switch needs more 3rd party games"

*Switch gets more 3rd party games*

"I already played those games so they do not count, they need more exclusives"

*Switch has more exclusive content in one year than the PS4 and X1 did in over 2*

"Yeah, but those third party games..."

-_-

@SuperSonic

Says the guy who has clearly not even played the game.

Cool story...except Octopath is not indie as it was published by SquareEnix...

*resumes playing Wolfenstein 2, Dragonball FightersZ, and Ys VIII from my hotel room natively from the device itself*

He is just upset that it was not released on PS4, so he feels the need to downplay. If it were a PS4 exclusive, he would be singing a different tune. I mean, I have a PS4 and I still picked it up for Switch, which kind of defeats his entire argument right there.

I kinda hope the exclusivity is timed, this is a game every jrpg fan should play. Great exclusive grab for Nintendo either way, and I am loving every second of this game.

Exclusives drive competition and competition is good for the industry. So yes, exclusives are good.

I never played it, and I had/have a PS3, PS4, XBox One, and a 360 but I think I might get it for Switch. Not everyone has played EVERY game. Not that hard of a concept.

Plus many fans like the concept of playing on the go. Why is that so hard for people to understand?

@IamTylerDuren1

Zelda released on Switch day and date. For all intents and purposes, it was a Switch game that also had a WiiU version. And yes, I was talking about year 1, not the launch line up.

@Highlife and Oldboy

But the X1 did not even have a strong start. It just had a slightly less weak first 2 years than Sony did, and the PS4 still outsild it due to MS reveal blunder and people knew what Sony 1st party would eventually produ...

At this point, thay is what they need to do. The X1 has lost no changing that. A strong launch line up cor next gen is the best shot they have.

Look at year 1 for the Switch to see all the proof you need.

Well I mean indies did well on VITA, but the big difference is that people actually buy the Switch soooo....

Do not get me wrong, I love my VITA...but to use it as a counter to anything is just...well you are setting yourself up.

@Teflon02

That may be. Two of my controllers are still from year one and last 4 hours, while my new controller that came with my PS4 Pro lasts longer.

I figured it was due to it being newer and less wear and tear on the battery, but never timed it. I will have to check that out this weekend.

I do not care either way. Personally the Switch controllers are the best for battery life IMO, 30 some hours for joycons and 40 some for pro controller. Meanwhile the PS4 has barely 5 hours of battery life, which is plenty but not ideal.

The X1 takes AA batteries sure, but they last upward of 20 hours and if they do die, no need to plug them in as you can just swap them out. I do not see what the big deal is.

Or Nintendo could just make the app an optional download to the Switch itself. This would solve all problems. However as things are now, devs should be adding native chat to their games.

If it is an engine issue as you say however, I place the blame on Nintendo. Such a simple solution that would keep the app worthwhile, better even, yet they have yet to do it. Hopefully they add it as a download and announce it with the online subscription. Till then, the voice chat re...

Funny thing is that Fortnite has native voice chat in-game. There is no excuse for any other online game to not have.

Using the app for cross game party chat is one thing, but using it to bypass adding it to the base software is just lazy. This whole apo, as others have said, sould at least be an optional download to the Switch itself. Then it would actually be decent and viable.

All this SJW crap is getting on my nerves on both sides of the fence. Fact of the matter is, as you implied, Battlefield fand will play Battlefield V. Even low sales by Battlefield standards will still be great sales overall.

To the gamers, play what you want. This has been blown way out of proportion.

To the devs, what has NOT been blown out of proportion is how you treat your fanbase. Calling them "uneducated" and the like is uncalled for....

Indeed. Octopath is one of my favorite games this year! Both Sony and Nintendo are doing great.

Good to see MS doing a little better as well, but they still need to bring something to the table for me. I am hoping Fable 4 is in the works with another studio. I have heard talks of it, but I do not remember seeing confirmation?
