@Exvalos
If it were just a console, you would be right. But it isn't, as it is a hybrid and portable functionality is indeed a factor whether you like it or not. Lets be real, and not pretend that it isn't.
"underpowered hardware"
Last I checked, it was the only hardware out of all three that natively plays console games on the go. For what the Switch is, the hardware is fine.
All of those are a given, as I see it outselling the Wii TBH.
They usually do at the end of the gen. PS3 was great, then the PS4 offerings were poor for years. Now at the wnd of the gen, the big guns are out.
PS5 being BC however will help this time around, as there are still plenty of great PS4 titles to offer for years to come.
Since when does Activision make anyone happy?
The point has gone over your head. Sony had to rep in the gaming industry, so had SEGA not dropped the ball, it would have been a lot harder for Sony to get a solid foot in the door.
Keep thinking Sony can do no wrong though. Forgot some people need things spelt out for them.
@ShadowWolf712
The Saturn had minimal software and the launch made the X1 launch look like a masterpiece. Learn your history, SEGA opened up the spot.
@Thescotsman
That has literally nothing to do with how SEGA left the door wide open for them with how they handled the Saturn.
Even if they did, it is extremely hard to enter the console race. Playstation did it off the failure of the SEGA Saturn, and no one was left to challenge Nintendo.
The original XBox lost money for MS and finished last, and was also on the back of the Dreamcast failing. It was not until Sony dropped the ball with the PS3 launch that MS was even able to get a decent foundation with the 360.
Nintendo capitalized on the gaming crash to get their spot.
At this point, google probably prefers that...
I forgot I had stadia t.....
Oh wait, no I don't. I would never support such a trash way to play games.
Just picked up Tokyo Mirage Sessions for 10 bucks off myself.
The amount of entitlement is mind boggling these days.
Actually suprised it took them this long TBH.
Be careful ID Software...your Bethesda is showing...
Funny thing is...Witcher 3's canon allows this 🤣
Excited to see how this plays on Switch. Will be nice to have this on the go.
Will probably get both PS4 and Switch versions. I will have more time to play on Switch, but when I am at home I would like to see what the Pro can do on the TV.
This is extremely good news. Glad this got overturned.
They need to allow canceling of digital pre orders though.
Nintendo should have just added someone else.
Streaming games is a concept that can crash and burn for all I care.
@Exvalos
I played Witcher on PS4 and Switch, over 100 hours on both. Your example is poor because the frame rate is the same as PS4, and Witcher looks great on the go. Playing docked seamlessly is a bonus, and while it does not look as good as PS4, at no point did I feel like I was not playing a current gen game.
Being a Hybrid console is not "one good feature" but the entire concept that the device is based on. Just because it is not what YO...
