@PitbullMonster
The original also had branching paths with more areas to explore.
2 is better, as 3 had too much content cut out and lacked the survival horror atmosphere that 2 had. They also made Nemesis a little bitch.
Anyone who has played the game for more than an hour will immediately see it is a reboot, and anything goes with the story. Putting the word "remake" in the title was a bad wording choice.
I always pick Switch for my 3rd party game. Doubles my playtime.
I use my PS4 Pro for games like Final Fantasy VIIR or REmake 3, where portability is currently not a viable option. The seemless ability to play on my TV or in handheld mode makes all the difference in the world for me.
FFVIIR is one of the few games that perfecrly strikes a balance between the traditional ATB system of older JRPGs and action RPG combat. I would love to see more of this style of play.
That being said, I love turned based games as well. Just because a new system works does not take away from games that are purely turned based. Variety is the spice of life, and I would hate to lose one system just so all games can adapt to another. If that were to happen, neither of them...
I mean, if you line up launch sales for the same time frame, which is 2.5 months, it sold similarly to the X1. Would you claim that the game also did not sell well on the X1 based on the launch data of both platforms?
It will break a mil after about a year after it released at the very least on Switch, and that is bare bones minimum (if it hasn't already). 700k is not all of 2019, but a October release. That means it hit that number in less than 3 months. The game pops in and out of the top 30 digital games in the US all the time too, so it has legs.
All in all, for being a late port at full price I would say it has sold very well on Switch. Especially if you consider the short t...
Fish and iron are the two biggest victims here. Wood and fossils are still plentiful. The same amount of fossils still spawn for the most part, there are just extra dig spots for eggs.
Mid sized fish is a crap shoot though and my iron production has been cut in half as they actually replace the materials as they spawn. The wood eggs do too, but wood is so abundant that it is hard to notice in the grand scheme.
All in all, it needs work if they do it ag...
@Smclaren1985
Witcher 3 runs fine lmao. I beat it on PS4 and Switch, so unlike many haters I have directly compared outside of a youtube video. They have the same frame rates, PS4 has sharper visuals. Switch even got a patch that allows you to make the image sharper by turning off the blurr filter as well.
@ABizzel1
The thing is, most games will be cross gen for the first 2 years just like PS4 and X1. The Switch will be almost 6 yea...
It sounds like to me...that this is a fancy way of saying nothing will change. 🤣
It wasn't with REmake 3, thats for sure. It is an ok action game, but REmake 2 did horror much better IMO.
Virtuos is no small team, with over 1500 in their staff right now. Good to see Switch porting devs planning to keep them coming into next gen. By the time the full potential of these new consoles are realized in practice, Switch 2 should be here or not far off anyway.
It will be interesting to see how this works out, even if only for the tech aspect of it.
That was what I got from the wording anyway. Good that they confirmes it for those that jumped to conclusions.
The funny thing is had Atlus left well enough alone, many of these articles would not have happened. There would always be a few writing garbage like this, but they actually drew MORE attention to it by censoring it to begin with.
Lesson, make your game's vision and fk censorship. Someone will get pissed off no matter what you do, but at least you won't piss off the ones that may/may not buy the game.
Day one physical for me. Even if it has a day 1 patch, it is good to see the full game playable on the card out of the box.
Enjoyed the first game, have not played full body. Will def be getting this one Switch.
Not everyone has time to play every game that comes out when tied to a TV. The Switch has given me the chance to play many current gen and last gen 3rd party games that I missed on PS4 in favor of other games. Having the game seamlessly switch between portable and TV play has given me the chance to enjoy these games that I otherwise did not have time for. I got to make the time to get a 2nd playthrough of Witcher 3, and now I will get to play Catherine Full Body among other great games tha...
I thought the Alien games were the video game versions of Alien...
Lion King was easy for me as a kid, and as an adult. I have no pronlem going back and playing retro games now, so to me it just seems like that as children there was more of a learning curve. This makes it seem like they were harder in retrospect.
The only thing "harder" about them was the lack of tutorials and the trial and error nature of the games. The game itself was not harder, but it did not hold you hand in the beginning like so many of today's games...
What if I told you that you can love the original, and enjoy a modern reboot as well?
