I play RPGs during downtime at work and I live in the US. In fact, given how long they are being on the go is a huge factor to why I always go with the Switch version for my games.
Don't be so closed minded. You are but one persion among billions here on this planet. It is foolish to think what you value is absolute in this world.

Thats nice, thats why there are options. I have downtime at work and my PS4 Pro cannot not provide me the ability to play during that time. Also as a father with small children, I cannot very well retire to my den while my 2 year old runs rampant throughout the house. But with Switch, I can monitor them and get in some extra time on the game as well. Because of this, I buy all multiplats that come to Switch, on the Switch. On weekends and very ear...
Despite its flaws, and there are quite a few, I loved this game from start to finish. May be one of the few times I replay a game soon after beating it. Well deserved, and can't wait for part two.
Not so much having games on the go, but the ability to seamlessly "switch" between console and handheld functions. It allows us to play console games natively on the go or on a TV without the need for multiple saves, transfers, or a wifi connection. It litterally has every Nintendo gimmick packed in as well, from touch screen to motion controls. It is all there, so no matter how you slice it, the Switch is a very innovative and great device to have.

RDR2 is the most overrated game this gen IMO.
Out of those games, three of them interest me. According to some people on here, that is a drought. But I guess that only applies to Nintendo consoles in some people's mind.
As someone who owns a PS4 Pro and buys all multiplats on Switch, it is because the hybrid nature of the consoles doubles my playtime. My limited time tied to a TV is used in either docked mode or playing the few 3rd party games I feel I must play that don't come to Switch like REmake 3 or FFVIIR. I also love PS 1st party IPs so there is that too.
In the end, most of my game time goes to Switch, and by doing so I can more effectively enjoying more of what gaming has t...
Have not played Bioshock Infinite, Borderlands 2/presequel, Cold Steel 3, Outer Worlds, DOOM Eternal, XCOM, or King's Bounty 2 on the 3rd party side. And that is after playing the hell out of Trials of Mana and not even touching up on exclusive games like Animal Crossing (which was a suprise because I never expected to like it, let alone love it), Xenoblade, Bravely 2, Paper Mario, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions earlier this year (which was new to me).
Droughts are in the e...
@Kabaneri
Having portability doubles my play time, so I buy all multiplats on Switch. The games I feel I must play on PS4 like FFVIIR and REmake 3, I play them on my pro. I had no problem waiting Outer Worlds because I was too pre occupied with other games on Switch. There is always something to play, just maybe not every brand new 3rd larty game right when it comes out. With that mentality, I would have missed out on a wide number of great games over the years (with or...
It is great that they are doing that, but people should not have to send them in to begin with.
Bought and played them both. Honestly Trials of Mana was the much more enjoyable game for me, despite having a lower budget and bad english voice acting. As a game it was just good pure fun, and as a remake it was much more faithful to the source material. It also has much higher replay value as well.
I enjoyed FFVIIR, just not as much.
Last of Us was a great game, but there was nothing influential about it TBH.
There will always be a group of people too dim to realize that they are robbing themselves of playing a good game by cheating. But hey, if that is what they think is fun, more power to them. At least it does not affect most gamers, but sucks for those that get into the online trade communities.
UE5 has already been confirmed to support Switch, so my guess is that we may see it used on that as well. One thing I kept hearing about was how scalable the engine is, and what better way to show that off than to apply it to the portable version of the game?
If people were just saving up for next gen consoles, they would not be buying Switch.
As a Switch and PS4 Pro owner, I play on my Switch 80% of the time. It has more exclusives launching each year than the others and I find myself buying all multiplats that come to it because I benefit from the hybrid nature. My PS4 Pro is for games like Sony IPs, FFVIIR and REmake 3 this year. Last year, jt was only for REmake 2and DMCV.
So the Switch has plenty to offer, it just depends on the need of the gamer. The hybrid nature of the console seems to benefit more th...
FFVIIR is indeed a far better game. It feels like a true step forward for the franchise, despite still lacking in a few areas. Overall I love the game however. My discord servers have had a very mixed reception of it though. It will be telling how many people liked it vs not when we see the sales for part 2.
Send them in, they will fix them for free.
The info in the document actually makes a lot of sense, and is one of the few changes to the game I liked.
With all the talk about scalability being a vig focus of new engines such as UE5 moving forward, I would not be so sure of that.
