I have to say I've found myself just ploughing through the GTA missions just to complete them. I really enjoyed it at first and the city is undeniably stunning, but now that I'm used to it, the missions are just becoming dull. There's no fluidity or immersion like there was in FPSs last year like Bioshock and COD4. Remember set pieces like the chopper crash and big daddy fights?

I must however say that people trust reviews too much. Ever heard of Mashed? It got mediocre to decent reviews, but all of my friends agree that a 4 player game of mashed is one of, if not the best multiplayer game ever created. I'm just lucky my magazine was smart enough to break the trend and actually recommend it to me.
Well most of us don't have the time or money to just buy every 7-8/10 game out there. We like to buy an awesome game and play it a lot, especially when it has great multiplayer. The thing about games is that, unlike movies, they are expensive and very time consuming. You can get a movie, watch it once and then be done with it, never see it again, and still be satisfied. Games take hours to complete, and if they're really good and have great multiplayer then they can last an incredibly long ti...
The thing I'm most annoyed about is the fact it's only 2 player split screen. Was I not earlier led to believe it was 4 player split screen? Or was that delusion from wishful thinking?

Rethought the use of it? What kind of talk is that? This is an incredibly blatant copy. They only started developing it once they had seen the sales figures of the wii.
I fear they are going to use this as another gimmick to attract 'the casual crowd' like viva pinata, guitar hero 3 and buzz. Let's hope I'm wrong.

It's a good sign that. It shows developers can start putting up map packs and other extras for free. Hopefully Valve and Infinity Ward will take notice.
Er, what you're saying is that console shooters are better than PC shooters. If you think Halo is the best shooter, you need to play COD4 on a console. And timesplitters, which rules.
Halo was great, but is now average. Competent but average and dated.

*sighs* these people can't have read the article properly. He DID back up his files, but he rather foolishly backed them up on a PC, not an external hard drive (he had a load of media so a usb stick wouldn't be big enough).
Fallout 3 will kick Fable 2's arse.
