I was going to make the same points as Pudding and Sonarus.
The strength of the game is its technical prowess (graphics and gameplay). PC is an arena with a much higher technical benchmark, so Gears is less impressive there. Also, the time between releases makes an impact, as games get technically better over time.
Achievements are the worst thing to happen to gaming. Ever.
What a muppet. Gears is distinctly average. Resistance isn't a very good comparison but Uncharted is, and it's much better.

I'm not reading this. It's not about quantity. When we have to spend £35 on every game I would much rather have one spectacular exclusive than a dozen mediocre ones.

A much better comparison would be between MGS2 on the Xbox and Bioshock on the PS3. Does anyone seriously anticipate it will sell well?
If Uncharted had multiplayer it would no doubt supercede Gears of War. It's a better and more fun game, but critics slashed it's lack of replayability.
Uncharted is 3rd behind Call of Duty 4. And solidt, MGS4 definitely has better graphics.

You haven't been playing the same game I have mate. The game is fine. I still play TF2 on occasion.

Solid Snake is the hero of Playstation. He's pulled it through some hard times and has never failed in his mission to make Playstation awesome. He might have lent his services to Nintendo briefly a couple of times, but he was always there for Playstation. he never sold out and never went downhill, which is more than can be said for Mario, Sonic, Master Chief and Lara Croft, and he's been there from the beginning, unlike Kratos and Sackboy.
