I haven't played it of course but judging from experience of previous games and from the gameplay videos, it won't be quite as good as Virtua Fighter 5. It just looks too cluttered and chaotic. VF is cleaner, allowing more tactical, deliberate fighting.

Well considering how awesome this game is looking I'd have to be pretty stingy to get upset about not being able to kill civilians. These guys have thought through whether to let you do it or not and have firmly decided against it. If it made the game less fun, they would have let you do it. Therefore I assume that when I'm playing I won't mind.
I share almost the exact shame view.
I frankly think there's never been a better time to be a gamer. We're getting plenty games with epic story and presentation, top of the line gameplay and innovation to boot! ot to mention the graphics which are way better than what we expected. There's no way my wallet can cope with it!

I truly doubt it will remain exclusive. First of all, they haven't actually stated anything clear about exclusivity, and second of all, even if they did, these companies lie a lot. Take2 insisted that there were no plans to bring Bioshock to PS3, and Square Enix insisted that there were no plans to bring FFXIII to 360. At this stage I find it difficult to believe anything they say, unless they officially announce that it's being developed for PS3. It's easier to lie about what you're not deve...

Did you guys ever play the orange box?
It's too vanilla, the weapons and vehicles are unbalanced, you move too slow and jump too high, you have way too much health, the weapons are dull, it's overrated, but most importantly of all, it's xbox exclusive.
Did you play the orange box on PS3?
Don't rule out a PS3 version. Valve won't port it themselves but someone else might do it like EA did last time. And before anyone says anything, the orange box was absolutely fine on PS3. I've had no problems with it at all.
Also, valve games don't require full on gaming PCs to play. If you have a solid midrange PC then you might be able to play it. Find out the specs of your PC and check it against half life 2.
If you can't trust IGN who can you trust?
The PS3 version is the one to get anyway. You get the far superior d-pad and the better bonus character. Darth Vader is silly but Yoda is just ridiculous...
