Yes it is 576p,but its duo to dvd limitations.It wont bother you because the game is probably one of the most beautiful games i have EVER seen.Lower res is because of compression,but textures or any effects are not sacrificed.Its better that way,its better to have lower res then lower texture quality.Looking at the game from 3 feet is really really not noticeable.Blame it on dvd...
Now i know...if pre rendered cut scenes are 576p it has nothing to do with hardware rather with dvd limitation...thats why it was res downgraded,to compress it...It would be better if cgi for game wasnt 32 gb...but this proves that dvd is mistake,considering not every 360 has built in hdd which would ease the problem...

I think they try to say game will look better...obviously they have some texture placeholders on environments...game needs a bit more polish.
Santa Monica is great dev team.I surely expected from them to achieve this level of fidelity especially to workaround aa problem.On Alan Wakes screen tearing,its been confirmed by developers on their official forum that game has no screen tearing but rather because of video(pal cams 59,97 hz while ntsc are 60 hz).Its nice to see some developers really try to justify the game price and put a great polished product like SM and Remedy does.

Im not downplaying anything,you guys are.GOW III looks better then metro 2033,its not even debatable but im just saying that devs started to use different type of aa to gain more performance,it has nothing to do with hate.I see new Reach multiplayer trailer people generally get more disagrees then agrees when they say it looks great,wondering who is downplaying and hatin.

I ll find you a link to beyond3d article about that(one guy interview metro 2033 developers)its actually some kind of software/cpu aa...never heard of it,but its well known that some devs use different methods if they think they are loosing performance on typical FSAA,which is still the best type,no bluring and and anti aliases full screen.Especially 16xaa :P

Here also, take a look...its all about exposing consoles power th right way.If you remember original xbox had 64mb of ram but it still could run Doom 3 respectably,even with celeron 733mhz and ge force 3 graphics card,so dont compare PC to consoles because consoles with right optimization and great engine surpass the same range PC by quite a bit ;)
No it actually has,how do you explain cutsceenes at 576p?Its not like its bad port...everything is the same except res,game runs at locked 30 fps,no screen tearing and only thing that sucks is 576p res.There is no excuse for sub hd res this gen.Both hardwares are pretty capable of 720p and 2xaa...wonder how Remedy puts 4xaa at 720p and still has better looking game...
