You mean the fears that fans of the franchise had WEREN'T silly and unfounded like some websites and forums claimed? What a shock!

The generational exclusives he... now made a point of having?

So then he's just buying studios to freeze out a single targeted company?

That's not healthy at all.

As someone who bought both the Collector's Edition and the Digital Edition day one...

I think it's completely fair. They're not charging an arm and a leg, and this is coming with a whole expansion, and after dropping an entire MP mode for free, with no MTs. It's also entirely optional. You can still play the base game, or even the PS4 DC, on the PS5 at 60fps.

And this line of logic is nonsensical anyway. What then of the people who didn...

The games they can offer are at the Publisher's discretion. If Square wanted you to be able to get the game free on PS4, then get the PS5 upgrade free, they could enable that. If not, they won't.

The game was published by MLB themselves on Xbox, and THEY cut the Game Pass deal.

You're not gonna see Spider-Man on there.

If it comes bundled with that rumored expansion? Probably.

Part of me actually hopes not. I want a FighterZ sequel. lol

I mean, at its core, Returnal has some true arcade elements to it.

So in a way, they're kinda making both?

Random and off-topic but ok.

Fun fact, when compared against the rise of inflation in the U.S. Dollar, paying $70 for a game today is much the same as paying $50 for a game back when the price hike happened. If the price were to rise with inflation, the price of games SHOULD be $80 or so. We're actually still gaming cheaper than we did back when the $60 price hike happened, comparatively speaking.

That being said, people said this same thing back when they hit a $60 standard, not realizing gaming w...

Yes, it is the single-player game that can be endlessly replayed that is finite, not the MP title that will be useless as soon as the servers die.

Yes. Every single one I've bought has been worth the money.

one would imagine so.

Never saw that one, so I'm curious. How was it propaganda?

Maybe chill with the racism, eh?

There are RAID configs that can clock in at higher transfer speeds, but there haven't been single commercial SSDs that can transfer at a rate to compensate for the speed + throughput.

@wiz 989 was an internal publisher for Sony. Eidetic was the team developing the games, and shortly after 2 they were fully acquired and rebranded Sony Bend.

And no, there were plenty of major players in the market at the time. Universal Games was still a big player, as were Activision, EA, Ubisoft, THQ... Sony and Nintendo were major console players, but at that point PC was still more than viable, and even SEGA was still in the game.

Sony doesn't ow...

@wiz Actually, Naughty Dog ASKED Sony to buy them as they'd rather work for them than get dragged along by Universal.

On top of that, outside of the Crash Bandicoot games, which they had made specifically FOR Sony, their games had been... very, very small. Keef the Thief on Home Computers, Rings of Power on the Sega Genesis, and Way of the Warrior on the 3DO. All games that either underperformed or were critical flops. It wasn't until they worked under Mark Cerny an...
