"Relatively top-heavy"
I see what you did there.
Insomniac stays proving why they're the best.
I really don't see any strong connection between SSO and Spidey, being honest.
Much stronger link between SSO and Ratchet & Clank, imo.
So you have a really lousy memory then.
...dude, XBOX peeps didn't even give it a shot, and no one was buying an Xbox for one game. I even have a friend who worked at a game store at the time trying to sell Xbox dudes on SSO and their response?
"Lame. Too cartoony. Graphics aren't good."
I don't even think the game broke 1 million sales til around the PC release date.
@badz149 Unfortunately, no. Xbox holds permanent publishing rights to the first game. It doesn't get ported anywhere they won't let it.
And sadly, that means PlayStation.
You do realize that in many cases, these are custom parts, programs, and solutions specifically designed FOR the consoles, yes?
Breakthroughs happen where they happen. You should be celebrating it's possible, not throwing a fit about where it happened first.
They seem to be convinced that if it fails, Sony will suddenly stop charging a whole $10 more for games.
What amuses ME is they forget Sony still puts out games at reduced prices. Miles Morales, for example, was a $50 title, the $40 tier upped by $10 as well. If Returnal was as content-light and production-light as these people keep insisting it HAS to be, the game would be dropping at $50.
Maybe, just maybe... the game's a full-scale AAA production....
I really wish people would stop acting like "having a story" and "a camera angle" were genres and all it takes for games to be "the same".
The game might tie into the sequel it already ties into?
Stop the presses.
He was asked if they would be following Microsoft's decision to make all their games cross-gen and he said Sony believes in generations and that they would have generational exclusives. And they do.
Never ONCE did he even IMPLY that ALL games would be next-gen exclusive. I dunno why the Internet decided he did, but he didn't. I dunno why people get on him over things he didn't say, yet don't get on Phil for literally saying that generational exclusives are ...
Funny you should mention that.

You could play all those games on the PS5.
Heck, I know people who deliberately held off on TLOU II and GoT UNTIL they got a PS5.
Dude, seek help.
You do know the "Bundles" being sold online are priced to include the console and games, yes? This was never a pack-in title.
>Garbage titles
>Dragon Quest thumbnai
Someone is trying to start a fight.
"Their games were too Japanese"
...they restructured them to support the thriving part of the studio because the other games WEREN'T SELLING.
It never ceases to amaze me how dudes like you somehow convince themselves there's some sort of Nationalistic Civil War going on inside PlayStation. It's not. If the games were selling, the studio would be operating as usual. But they weren't, outside of what Team Asobi is doing. And that...
@Darkborn
Polyphony Digital says "Hi".
Uh... yes? You've got the right to do with your property whatever you choose.
What you're asking about is not emulation, but pirating ROMs and ISOs. THAT is where things get complicated.
Technically, they're now minority shareholders.
