@cell Technically not illegal, so long as he makes it clear that it's no longer covered by warranty and Sony is in no way liable for any issues.
That'll void your warranty right there.
I'm not kidding, btw.

Bookmark this for when it turns out to be something we have indeed seen before.
Nah, they usually drop an "Adults Only" version that can be bought there, which is just the version we get over here. Just not in... "normal" venues.
For one, technology has vastly improved in the realms of rendering and upscaling compared to the days of jumping from DVD to BluRay, or even BluRay to 4K.
For another, you're talking upscaling a 480p image to 1080 (to say nothing of digital cleanup among other things) or upscaling a 1080 image to 4K. This is taking something with a much smaller relative difference and upscaling it in a way that doesn't stretch the image or distort it by using AI to fill in the gap. ...
Ex-friggin-Scuse you?
It's an option, dude. No one's forcing you to use it.
Look at the ridiculous "rules" Nintendo started setting for game-makers back when they had a near-monopoly.
Look at the disasters behind the 3DO and CD-i platforms.
There's your answers.
There's a reason that the game going multiplat was announced at the same time as the license renewal.
Japan studio wasn't closed.
Yes, I am so sure they knew that the racing game they specified was targeting mid-2021 was going to have to be pushed into 2022. Ryan stating that they'd learned exactly how hard the pandemic was hitting game development this year was just a cover, obvs.

But sure, no new marquee first-party titles from them.
Meanwhile, Xbox literally DID drop a console with none of those for a year and hasn't gotten half the community flak for it.
They were targeting this year. They thought it would be ready this year. For all we know, it may actually still be on-track FOR this year, it may be delayed, who knows? That doesn't mean that they "knew" it wouldn't release this year.
Here's that attention you ordered.
Because it's the most popular storefront?
It's not like the game's not up on EGS too.

So you're saying this remaster only took marginally less work than a brand-new AAA title?
Separating individual X-Men from the team in an exclusivity deal is not gonna happen.
The problem with a "Switch Pro" is that Nintendo's game design would still be held back by the base Switch. So while they'll look prettier, and maybe be able to have a bit more on-screen, all you'll be getting is surface-level improvements. And if they kill another gen TOO early, they risk peeving their fanbase there as well.
Another issue is, Nintendo really doesn't feel a need to compete. They're fine coasting off their legacy and their reput...
ALMOST half would actually be appropriate here.
