"One mistake"???
Try multiple. Try breaking their word on crunch multiple times, AND going gold before the game was ready, AND reee3fusing to give out review copies on consoles, AND having heavy-handed censorship of any and all gameplay footage on said platforms, basically threatening legal action against anyone who so much as used any footage not given them by CDPR themselves for "promotional use"...
They knew good and well this was b...
I swear, any other game released in this state and it'd be roasted to hell and back.
People simply refuse to let go of their hype and see it for what it is.
I love how everyone's first instinct appears to be "becoming an overly-defensive prick" rather than conceding that this is something that should happen.
Even CDPR already responded and said they were right & they were adding some extra warnings. Chill, fellas.
People being unable to simply congratulate the winner and move on without taking jabs at this game or its top competitor reeeally says a lot about them. lol
Congrats, to SP, VERY well-deserved. Super proud of that team.
No thanks.
Lotta weirdos out there are taking this wayyyy too seriously.
Ehhh, it's kinda cool I guess, but there's just no topping Toriyama's design work.
You can remove the fan to CLEAN it, but the fan connection is actually shrouded by a "Warranty void if removed" sticker.
@Cant
Bro, each store only had 2 PS5's, they can't have walked out with two each.
Have you seen the nonsense Tom Warren posts on Twitter? lol
Nah man, the GameCube was actually stronger than the PS2, but when it underperformed they went for lesser hardware with "new experiences" to try to cut down on costs and present any future big losses.
Reviving old IP is a risk too, dude. lol
They don't guarantee sales. Look at MediEvil. Was hardly a huge seller despite being a labor of love, and critics slammed it for not updating the "out-of-date" gameplay. But had they changed that gameplay, do you think that would have gone over well with the diehards?
Also worth pointing out: Ghost of Tsushima was a MASSIVE risk. Not only was it something well out of Sucker Punch's wheelhouse, but it was a game set in Feudal Japan that strove for accuracy. Accuracy to the culture, to the period, the world. No anachronisms that were popular even in Japanese-produced games with the same setting, no over-the-top swordplay, using actual swordmasters to choreograph the fight scenes.. and then hoping that it not only sells here in the States but in Japan, wi...
The fact that Halo was ALL they had ready to go at launch, that they put ALL their eggs in that one basket, REEKS of arrogance and incompetent management.
Probably an indirect response to a certain fanboy narrative circulating online that insisted that the game was pushing the PS5 to its absolute limit and twisting words from Digital Foundry as "proof".
Considering the absolute praise Digital Foundry heaped on MM?
Yes.
$70 for two new games is anti-consumer?
Ok
Bro I was 14 when the original Xbox launched, and I'm nowhere near the age of having gray hair and a nearly-grown oldest child.
Methinks the age progression is a bit skewed here.
(Also, what was the point of showing him as a little kid and then jumping him to a teen for the OG Xbox? Doesn't that kinda undermine the whole "since the beginning" claim?)
@nirwanda The thing is, he's not selling his "copies" of it. He's allowing OTHER ACCOUNTS onto his PS5, allowing them to stay on long enough to claim all these free PS4 games they didn't pay for, then removing them. THAT is what he's selling access to. You don't get a "one-time redemption" code, this is something the console has access to by default as a perk for people buying it, which means he would still have access to it through the console.
