I'm sorry, but no. The combat was so horrendous, the game was so incredibly linear (it's literally hallway > big room with enemies > hallway > big room with enemies > repeat until credits), and all characters outside of the main were poorly written, not expanded on, and had incredibly poor voice-actors.

Western reviewers hate new Final Fantasy and garbage like Gust and Compile Heart JRPGs, and for good reason. Actual GOOD JRPGs like Xenoblade, Persona, Ni No Kuni, Last Story, etc all get pretty rave reviews.
At least Nintendo gives you a free SD card and uses a widely accepted, cheap format, unlike Sony.
In the last 1-2 years they released a shooter, a racer, a shooter and recently a shooter. Also, not counting all the great multiplats everyone has access to.

If it was just for updating the development kit, I doubt the system would popup a network troubleshooter. To do so seems would be stodgy for a development kit.
But it's doing the same thing its been doing for over a decade. Sure, its "very good" at what it does, but how is doing the same thing for over a decade "starting a new era of interactive entertainment?"
Its a military shooter. Its the same thing we've seen for years, but slightly prettier. Don't make it out to be something more than it is.
Then there must not be many Playstation fans, because the game sold pretty poorly.
If you aren't going to do something right and secure real PS All-stars like Crash, Abe, Lara Croft, Cloud, the list goes on and on, then don't bother to make the game until you ARE able to secure those characters.

Don't bother with this one. Combat is the same garbage we've been seeing for over a decade and the cash shop is already selling $200 items, not to mention its Aeriagames, which is basically mini-Nexon.
Just look at the pretty pictures or download a game by Illusion instead.

Sure, Microtransactions are not evil. If people wish to pay for them, that must mean they are not evil.
It's just like Dracula, he's obviously not evil, he was just called here by humans wishing to pay him tribute. It's not as if EA is stealing the souls of games, or that their PR talk is as empty as their soul. What is a microtransaction but a miserable pile of unlocks?
They honestly should have this working on the Wii as well. If you already own a Wii U, you can just play the game on that. It's nearly pointless unless the app is functional with other games that have only local wifi (which I doubt).
And what happens when we vote with our dollars, ala DmC? Every single review site is up in arms that we didn't support the game and all gamers are entitled douchebags that deserve nothing less than death.

EA and Activision aren't overrated, nearly no one actually likes them.
The hardware for older consoles was just as complex as today's if you take into consideration its own time period instead of the current one we currently live in.
What I'm saying is, the SNES was pretty complicated hardware 20+ years ago. Sure, it doesn't look that way now, but I bet the 360/PS3 will look simplistic as well in 20+ years. The difference being this gen has obnoxious failure rates, most SNESs still work.
A weekend is two days. Ground Zeroes won't even last you two hours.
