Never trust first reviews. No doubt this game will be great and will go on to be the best 2D fighter of the generation, but most first reviews are clickbaiting with low scores or getting kickbacks from publishers for high review scores.
$80 for tech-demo software. Yeah, sounds good to me, lemme go preorder 10 copies.
Yeah I didn't expect Nintendo to release a literal cardboard box for $70 and for people to be excited about it.
I really liked it but I could see the flaws and I don't blame anyone for hating on it. That being said, Ghost Recon Wildlands is easily the biggest disappointment of the year for me.
Monster Hunter is not an RPG. Having a nearly pointless leveling system and being Japanese does not automatically qualify it as an RPG.
They've already made at least $10 million, so they've made back the investment easily. My guess is they don't want the Animal Crossing brand associated with predatory microtransactions once they eventually release a Switch game. I even threw $2.99 their way for one of the launch bundles even though it was completely pointless for me just to give them some love.
I really enjoy it (because the crafting system is WAY better than the RNG of the shop and gift systems of past releases) but there are really strange "walls" built into it like your average mobile game. You can plan around them if you are really paying attention and take full advantage of the systems in place, but the walls simply cost too much to ever consider paying to bypass. A lot of the extras you can pay for are simply not worth it, which I guess is somewhat of a blessing in d...

Cop should be in jail without parole until trial. If he's willing to unload 7 rounds into someone answering a door who knows what goes on in his off-duty hours.
They'd make up the price tenfold by selling more digital titles directly from the eShop, bypassing the cost of selling physical copies like packaging, shipping, store cut, etc. I know I'll never be buying a digital title on the Switch because patches alone will eventually fill the pathetic storage and whatever SD card I decide to throw in there.
X was atrocious.
Wish they'd remake 3 and like... fix/finish it. I love the generation concept but man the game was so bland otherwise. Still loved it as a kid even though I got nowhere.
Or games to actually play online. There is what, like two online games in Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart, and one dead online game in ARMS? As much as I enjoyed Splatoon 2 I wouldn't pay a dime to play it online, especially when joining friends is the biggest pain in the ass ever.
Yup. They were too stubborn to just grow up and add what the entire internet was asking for, and their game bombed spectacularly for it. I know my friends and I would have picked it up if it included two or three-player co-op, but the game isn't even on my radar for $5, much less $10, as a single player title.
Was ready to get this day one, found out it was broken beyond belief... and still is!
I was getting bored of the beta but then when it was taken away I wanted it so bad. Wish they'd release it on all platforms though to get more exposure.
Uglyfied mobile port.
Shame this game turned into a merchandise marketing machine targeting kids who watch obnoxious and loud youtubers daily.
EA was never great.
Spaces don't even fill up to 16 on PS4 because people are usually jumping from room to room. Its not remotely difficult to find a party on PS4, but room size isn't proof of that.
