M$ may become pressurised to drop the charge for online play. I don't think it will happen but it could. Sony need to bring in cross game chat as a free online feature and that will really put pressure on M$. Gamers will be asking why M$ is charging for something that Sony provides free of charge. Quite frankly, achievements and trophies are there for personal prestige, not so much for competitiveness. M$ is far to closed with the 360. It is the complete opposite to open source and that is a bad thing. However, M$ will have to change, if business forces them to change. This is yet another area where the PS3 excels over the 360.
I don't think SE are sure yet whether this game will be PS3 exclusive or not. I hope it stays exclusive so the PS3's hardware can be maxed. It would be easier for the devs if it was kept exclusive because they wouldn't be as limited but the decision ultimately lies in the hands of the company's directors. The truth is the following. Versus will be a timed exclusive at the very least for PS3 but may come to 360 a year later, depending on sales. The game will be much harder than FFXIII and much longer. It will not appeal to casuals. Release Date = March 2012.

Just because the lifespan is increased to 2015 doesn't mean that there won't be a new xbox before then. The PS2 was only six years into its over tn year lifespan when the PS3 came out. I want KOTOR 3! This game does have potential but everbody wants another single player KOTOR like the first two. They should have made KOTOR 3 before The Old Republic. Then again, Mass Effect does quench some of the thirst but certainly not all of it. KOTOR 1 = masterpiece and best game Bioware have made period.
