I want to play the finished and polished product, and be blown away.
I started with the 2600. I even purchased a 3DO, which was amazing at the time.
If the original xbox has sold 25 million units to date (5 years later) and 360 has sold 10 million in 13 months (most likely), wouldn't you guys agree with me that Microsoft has done a great job and will gain much more market share this generation?
Based on this and the Wii's launch, I do not see Sony selling over 100 million units this time. They will most likely end up with sales even with 360 sales.
End result? A much more competitive next generation (PS4 vs. xbox3). ...
They did not deny DMC4 was coming to the 360.
Gears of War with another game of the year win. Where did Resistance go? Not even a runner up!
What is your opinion of HD-DVD versus Blu-Ray?
I tend to side on HD-DVD based on what I have read and have seen for myself in the store, but you have had extensive time with both. I also agree the steering wheel rocks! (Except on RR6)
And I wish DJ would stop with the damage control. You can "spin" the facts all you want. Sony overhyped these chips just like the PS2 "emotion engine" and reality Synthesizer". These turned out to be frustrsating ga...
While I do not have a PS3, one of m friends does, and I've played the kiosks. Thanks for your honest opinion.
By the way, every kiosk in a 45 minute radius is broken. Even the 360 kiosk never fialed that bad!
Used most of the storage for buffer files to speed up acces time. That's the brilliant thing about Gears, one short load and no more throughout the game.
I remember seeing gameplay gootage of resistance from a long time ago...2005 I think. The "launch game" mentality is getting old. The had developement kits for a long timee, and an extra 8 months to polish these PS3 launch games, so no excuses for the muddy textures. Gears has nothing but crisp high-resolution textur...
of several PS3's breaking. That heap runs WAY hotter than the 360. I hope the shiney black plastic doesn't melt.
was 22008 title? Most likely DMC4 is 1 of the 6. Capcom does love them some 360. Must be because we actually buy their titles. Can't wait to pick up my copy of lost planet.
Toshiba lets you choose 3 titles for free with a purchase of any of thier HD-DVD systems. Sony is poop.
still fails to impress me. It looks pretty good and the crashes are nice, but it still lacks fun. I guess it impresses the PS fanboys, as they are not used to next-gen gaming.
Colin McRae looks WAY better graphically and physics wise. The fanboys won't like it because it's multi-platform and not PS exclusive, but what is these days?
There would be at least a patch by today. They said they had stuff going through certification before the holiday break. This can't be epics work.
...by Ubisofts own R6:Vegas and GOW. Sales of this title are less than expected. They'll do a quick and dirty port to make some money back on developement costs. Little effort will be put into the porting, besides SUX-AXIS support and a few new skins, which will probably be downloadable over live. The REAL SS studio will be doing the next version, optomized and exclusive to the 360.
I just finished downloading the demo and will give it a try tonight. Maybe it will be a good ga...
I got bored with DOA4, so this is a welcome addition. I do hope RARE get's their priorities in order and gives the 360 Killer Instinct 3. I've been waiting years for another entry in that series, and it would blow away DOA, Tekken, and VF series. C'mon Rare! Quit making kiddie games!
...is a generation of transition, in which the crown will be ripped from $ony and placed on Microsoft. I hope they will continue their masterful engineering and execution into the following generation as well.
more. And as stated by CNET and other sources, 180p doesn't really matter. If you have a 1080p TV, it will de-interlace the 1080i signal and produce the same result as 1080p. That's also an outdated arguement since 360 and HD-DVD support 1080p.
copies are uncompressed movies on the studios posession. MPEG2 is a COMPRESSION technique used by standard DVD's. VC-1 offers superior quality and compression. Geez, do some research. Really! If you need me to, I'll do it for you. Master copies are not compressed!
It costs game developers the most money to publish a game for the PS3, since they're paying the console fees AND the Blu-Ray. Way to nickle and dime everyone SOny!
Tekken 6 on the 360 will rock!
