I think if it's locked 30fps and never dips it is fine... much lower than 30 and I really notice.

The problem is they are not the same thing at all for the reasons I expressed earlier. Sure many people buy pc's for gaming, but PC's are not considered by the same consumers wanting a console alternative. PC's can be upgraded to meet requirements of games, but in gaming consoles the games are made for that hardware so people don't have to worry about upgrading.
That's why people compare console to console and not console to PC.

This article is referring to consoles, a PC isn't a gaming console. A PC can be upgraded, modified in many different ways and do unlimited tasks... People buy consoles generally because they are a cheaper alternative that they don't have to worry about upgrading or messing with or checking to make sure their PC meets the requirements for a specific game every time they buy one.

If he is referring to it looking the best in facial tech and cut scenes I would definitely agree. But as far as how a game looks when being played, I would say killzone and then battlefield look the best.

True he may be right, but that doesn't mean the service is a joke at all. Many publishers will handle it differently and we will have many great titles on a great service, and if it doesn't have the titles you want to play right away, don't subscribe to it....
not sure how that makes the service a joke, that is an odd thing to say, a publisher would be stupid to release a newer product on a streaming service too soon. I'm sure some publishers may do it, but most probably will wait a bit.
Will probably end up getting it on PC anyways if it is a decent game... Don't really care if it ends up on PS4.

It's not a gimmick if it genuinely improves gameplay and the experience in games. Like in tomb raider for showing your health to warn you, and adding effects like torch crackling and flaring of colors when you shoot, grenade impact will light it up a bit.
I think it seems to add immersion and also is helpful in areas too in games that use it well.
Most powerful system and the games out/coming that most excite me. Love Sony as a company, they just use their huge pool of first party talent to do the talking, can't wait to see what they have cooking.
Why so bitter that Sony is on a roll? Yes they have struggled, but it is complicated for such a huge conglomerate, they will be fine. Stop seeing everything in 720p.
