Agreed, I don't think anyone said playstation would be, and they don't need it to. Everyone is aware of why Sony sold buildings and laid people off. They are late to restructuring their TV business, Samsung and others already did, Sony made mistakes but they have enough to more than do ok in the future.
And you can bet once MS isn't a software monopoly anymore they will have a much harder time than Sony.

You will see Microsoft do the same thing with windows once they aren't a commercial monopoly anymore on pc's.
This is Sony's first major restructuring of business in my eyes, the other stuff was easy. This will help bring their declining TV side to profit and it will get rid of a PC side that has been posting massive losses for a loooong time. They will be able to focus more and things will get easier... Trolls on here can't seem to see past 720p on these issu...

Sony has boat loads of first party studios and talent, that is a given.

We will know when it comes out how popular it will be, so far it looks like a fantastic surface and everyone that has tried it have been very positive.
It is a little funny now though, them saying this after they used Meta for so long to claim a game was good. Why not say "most gamers like this game" if it was more important than the meta score, I never once heard them say that.
Who said the game pad was a gimmick? You just automatically think people would think that before anyone says anything about it? Do you feel deep down that it is a gimmick or are you paranoid of what others think.
I personally like the DS4, including the touch pad, I think it will make games like RTS's and such more playable. And I never once thought anything about the WiiU's gamepad, more power to them.
God of war 3 was fantastic on the PS3, I hope they do another one too.
I don't really care which one is more powerful, I didn't care last gen that 360 multiplats usually looked better. All I wanted were Sony's fantastic first party games, and that's still what excites me more than anything.
Sony's studios are why I want to support them, the PS4 could have the WiiU's hardware and I would still be just as optimistic.

Just curious, what platformers from Nintendo are AAA? It seems like Jak and Ratchet at least would require as big a budget as most the platformers Nintendo makes. I would like proof that the platformers Nintendo makes use a significantly greater budget, or bigger at all.
Ratchet and clank, Sly Cooper and little big planet if we are talking only first party, not sure if Puppeteer could be included(is it AAA?). They could use Jak and Daxter in the future and I'm sure I'm forgetting some.
I agree that Nintendo makes the most though for sure.
A game with so many bots as opponents is not competitive, is it?

Well if you look at NPD, obviously knowing they aren't completely accurate, they have Sony far ahead at this point... I think they are generally pretty close to the official numbers, but never exact.
They were further off on Microsoft last time because Microsoft goes off of shipped numbers.
Also I feel the price is important, but not so much as people claim. The cheaper console doesn't always outsell the more expensive one, as we learned last gen.

If it becomes a great ip I could see them adding it in, like Uncharted. Uncharted 2/3 had some of my favorite Multiplayer and I would never have guessed Uncharted 2 would even have it.
That is one gorgeous city from all the screenshots I have seen, I may have to visit Seattle after playing this.
They need a good price drop on the PS3, those things will fly of the shelves again.
I think a locked 30fps @ 1080p is more than ok. If it was constantly dipping way lower than 30 that would suck for games...
