one thing i noticed in the demo also was that the spectators were just motionless maniquens.
i wish most places would put Gears on the 360 vs Resistence on the ps3. but most stores don't put M rated games on Demo. It would be a good comparison

at the super target in clearwater, FL they had it playable. It had motorstorm and NBA. They should have put better games on the kiosk, since the demos underwhelmed a bit. But then again, Motorstorm is still a ways out and will have time for improvement, and NBA....well its sony's first party sports brand, and they usually suck.

yeah, there's going to be sneak king, a mini bike game and bumper car game. the bike and bumber car one will have you play as numerous BK mascots, ranging from the King to Brooke Burke

i agree with you on the game part. Thats why i sold my psp, that and load times (don't have too much time to devote to portable gaming).
But there are some better games out now, like Lumines 2, Every Extended Extra and WTF
i'll try to get one at launch. It has stuff on there that interests me.
But the article i think has truth to it. When i get customers asking what the wii is when they see all the signage and i explain the features to them, they get interested in it, if not for their kids but for them selves to try out. Once they get kiosks set up, then it will be interesting to see the word of mouth.
exactly, 1080p doesn't matter to me right now. Since my HDTV only goes up to 1080i
i've gotten a few people like this so far. yesterday at work I had a guy come in, interstested in preordering a PS3 (we did it yesterday at Toysrus) told him how fast we sold out. He then started asking about the xbox 360 and told him about it, showed him the games for it. Next thing ya know he's walking out with a brand new 360 with cvopies of Madden 07 and Saints Row.
these have been out for a while. My toysrus has had them for 2 months.
will probably have a bunch of wii preorders, but i'm willing to guess 4-6 ps3 preorders. well i'll find out soon at work.
also some stores are just not allowing employees to buy launch day systems (at least with the PS3, i hope they ease up on the Wii)

exactly, I played motorstorm at target and was underwhelmed. It even had some colision detection problems, i was racing along and all of a sudden crashed without hitting anything or being close to anything. And NBA was really buggy with an outline around the players.
