what's pathetic is coming onto comment boards calling people pathetic over a VIDEO GAME SYSTEM.
by modding you violate the end user lisence agreement. It's your own fault for trying to update a modified system.
for the other people who had problems without a modified system, yes you should get it repaired or replaced for free.
replying to foolish children like this will egg them on. he obviously didn't get the attention he needed as a child. maybe mother didn't breastfeed him?
No, you are incorrect. Not every TV is HD. If you look in cataloges yes, thats what they want to sell you since they cost more and in turn have a higher mark up and more profit for the store. But of TVs people own, the majority of them do not own HDTVs.
Go drink the kool-aid of your corporate masters.
Do you not know your history about brand loyalty? How is Sega and Nintendo doing in home console market share? They were both at the top of the market before. When people t...
Yes PS2s helped out the DVD market. At the time there was a noticble advantage of upgrading to DVD as a medium for their movies.
Bluray and HD-DVD are in a different position than DVDs. The consumer market is NOT tech savvy. They do not own HDTVs yet, many who do don't even have HD television service (just assume its in HD since it's on an HDTV).
VHS had been around a long time and been dominant in the market and people were looking for a replacement, with CLEAR...
stop bowing to one corporate master or the other! what is wrong with all these sad people on all sides that mindlessly pledge themselves to one side or the other.
he must have played a different version than I have. When I played the demo I was left unimpressed. It was cool, had some decent effects and pretty backgrounds, but not the eye bleeding goodness it was hyped up to be.
wait a while, the ps3 will have its day....eventually
i personally think neither will take off and replace dvd, unless the film studios abandon dvd completely (which they will not do)
But the mass of consumers do not know anything about either format. When people at work ask about the PS3s features, i mention bluray and they think i'm talking about the blue tinted ps2 discs that a lot of units had trouble reading.
this is a discussion about which format for movies the consumer mass will adopt, not about games.
Do you use the word "xbots" in real life? If you do, do people laugh at you? Stop supporting your corportate masters!
the King Kong is a freebie. If the Drive would cost less without that horrible movie, i'd buy it. I'm thinking of buying the drive anyways.
I bought my 360 to play games. A year later a cheap way to watch High def movies compared to stand alone players comes out for it, I may bite. But it is my choice if i want to gamble on either format, which I believe neither will become more than a niche market
yep, look at how well having the PSP play UMD movies did for that format.... comparing apples and oranges, but still. There may be a spike for novelty factor alone.
oh i believe you, at my work i've had 10x the amount of people asking if we had Wii's in stock over PS3's, and customers (not normal gamer customers, but mom and dad customers) saying they read or have seen that the PS3 isn't as superior to the 360 as the price would suggest.
As for the new Disc format, i think it will not be decided for a long time, and by the time the market is ready for this new format, something better will be out. A Huge chunk of the consumer market has ju...
It's only been 2 weeks!!!!! I'm not a fan of sony or bluray, but come on, have common sense
exactly having been a journalism major and a current polysci major, it is looked down upon to not read the new york times. The news hits there first then the next day the rest of the papers because that is what the editors read.
the DS destroys the PSP in sales at my work. We sell about 25 DS's for every PSP we well. But the sales on both are picking up a bit.
where is Super Mario Brothers? Come on nintendo, that is the game everyone wants and should have been on the VC since day one.
get a life kid, do you actually use the phrase "xbots" in real life and things like "fanboy". geeze.
wouldn't be surprising. Lucas Arts seemed to have supported the original Xbox very will with exclusives (Republic Commando and the KOTOR series, along with the visually upgraded Clone Wars game).
price. most consumers don't buy systems until they are cheap. Also library, look at the software line up for any new system, not too big with expensive games. Look at the older PS2 with tons of games and most of them dirt cheap.
opinions are like @ssholes, everyone has one.
