I think it's ugly. Always have. I much prefer the rounded look of the Japanese and European variant.
I'm from UK so we got the European one. I have always hated the look of the US one.
The US SNES says hi
Give us a go
Love me a bit of GT7. Don't love me a bit of always online.
Won't buy the next GT if it follows this trend
That's nice, but I prefer to own my games
I prefer physical releases and I only want to pay the minimum in order to have online functionality. I don't care for all the so called "extras" like day one and included games because you only have access to them while your subscription is active. End your subscription and kiss goodbye to your game library.
They're not nintendo
Never mind
Freedom Wars ☹️
Maybe it's just not a route they want to go down. I'm not a fan of paying a subscription to "rent" games
I'm not excited in the slightest
Remember when game demos used to be free? Now they want us to pay for the privilege? No thanks.
£100 a year for premium!
I'll stick with "Essential" thanks
Want Bloodlines 2 ☹️
Don't mention lockdown...
It will eventually be retired though, what then?
When PS4 becomes retro and collectors want in on it, there's no way a complete collection can ever be bought or even played because there's so many games reliant on being online the whole time. This isn't good for the industry. Probably the last machines that will be worth anything to collectors will be PS3/360. Even most "physical" Switch games need to download large portions of data.
And this is why an all digital future and GaaS is bad.
Game engines can be scaled across systems. The idea that because SS is underpowered is somehow causing games to be held back is a complete fallacy.
If this was true then surely PC games are being held back by consoles?
@JackBNimble come on, we all know Switch is Gen Fluid 😏
I'm waiting for my Playdate and Analogue Pocket
