I would disagree with the author on Deadspace. The series had an entry 3 years, Dead Space 3. There are other games, that people want which haven't had a proper entries for a decade or more.
One of the beauties about RDR 1st ending is that it can be interpreted in two manners depending on how the player acted during the game. I never killed innocents when I played, and I saved lots of people. So to me John was a reformed man that was used, abused and finally betrayed by government.

I would have John Marston as my personal number 1 game death. Cortana was also pretty high on my list until Brain Reed, ruined her death and Halo 5 stories . Also Dom in Gears of War 3.
MS owns the franchise and the game isn't named Minecraft, so it won't be on PS4. PC release could be possible, but I assume it would be staggered (6 months to 1year after XB1 release).

It is weird how the people most concerned about Xbox and it's games are the ones that hate the console the most. Also when Xbox games come to PC, magically the 'concerned' gamers suddenly have gaming PCs and interest in franchises they previously trashed. No, not even close. Black Ops 3 has sold over 16 million on the Xbox One/PS4 without even including digital sales. The series has gotten redundant, so I only buy it every few years.
Shooters have won game of the year awards numerous times. Gears of War, Halo:CE,Halo 2 , Half-life 1/2, Goldeneye, Bioshock, Bioshock Infinite and Call of Duty 4 all won game of the year winner awards.
Quantum Break is not dynamic res, it 4x 720p interlaced go create a 1080p frame buffer. Halo 5 never targeted 1080p, 343i focused on and achieved locked 60fps. Gears of War:UE achieved 1080p 30 single player and 1080p 60fps mp. I wouldn't be surprised if Gears 4 achieved 1080p 30/60 for SP/MP since it using a more advanced and more optimized engine than Gears UE.
To be honest with you some of the hardcore Halo fans online are a very whiny bunch that complain about everything, music, changes in alien design, realistic weapons sounds, minor art-style changes, anything and everything 343i does. A bunch of them whined about 343i and jumped ship over to destiny only to whine about it being more imbalanced and repetitive than Halo:Reach/4.
I would not call Doom(2016) an arena shooter. The beta was fun to play, it just isn't balanced enough to be truly competitive. The arenas shooters are resurging; Halo 5 was released and the new Unreal Tournament and Gears 4 are on their way.
