The game's biggest flaw is the mp, it doesn't have enough synergy with the singe player. The MP was outsourced, and it feels like there was a disconnect in design between the two studios.
When did Sony officially confirm they are increasing hardware power ?
Model is to show character detail. Gears UE was very detailed and this looks to be so as well.
"PS4 'Neo' is set to release some time around October and Sony is promising an increase in performance. " No, Sony hasn't announced nor promised anything for the PS4 Neo, it is still just a rumour.
Stupid articles like this one shouldn't be approved.
I having great fun with the singleplayer, it feels like an oldschool well designed shooter, unlike the mp....

I would like a sequel to the Last of Us or a new IP.
I played the beta (and just got the game today and Doom ). The mp is fun, but I don't care for the sidekicks and powers. Also I hate loadouts and not having weapons on map.
You are right. If we are getting upgraded consoles, the changes will be to the consoles HDMI speed allowing for 4K video output.
Companies tend not to comment on rumors and speculation. Also I don't think the Neo is a real. Also to take a jab at the tumbnail, it would take a PC about 4 times as powerful as the PS4 to run Uncharted 4 at 4k with settings equal to the PS4 verison.
Yup, but I can't give an opinion of the Bad Company subseries since I never played them.
This trend of BF1 vs COD:IW is just like the hype war EA started between MW3 and BF 3. EA hype boosted the sales of their game and lead to harsher criticism of the MW3.These two series aren't that comparable when it comes to gameplay, they attract and hold players with different preferences.
In the end COD will sell better, since the series outsells every other new release year after year ( with the exception of GTA V). I'm not personally hyped for either game.
@cyberwaffles I can't bring myself to consider Doom (2016) an arena shooter. There is only one power weapon on map, plus power ups. You can't pick up weapons (aside from the power weapon), the loadouts are poorly balanced, there are timed perks.
The loadouts negatively affect combat dynamics and map control also. The whole point of an arena shooter is to control map weapons and areas that give you and your team an advantage.
Doom (2016) mp isn't an arena shooter, it just looks like one at a glance.
When publishers announce the DLC months before release of the actual game ......
The game as whole has not been slammed, the MP had a very mixed reception ( more negative on PC). The game's MP to me felt very poorly designed and imbalanced. I played the game on XB1 from alpha to open beta, and the devs made no improvements to core design of the mp. Plus the embargo is a red flag for the rest of the game, despite the campaign looking so promising.
It probably is most certainly the publisher who dictates MTs not the devs.
Micro transactions are becoming a norm now because of how expensive AAA games are to create. I don't mind MTs, as long as they don't lock things behind a paywall. Also it is pretty ironic how hypocrites where ripping part Halo 5 for having MTs and turning a blind eye to the MTs in Uncharted 4.
My Predictions
1. No new Xbox One with upgraded specs, don't believe in the upgraded consoles one-bit. However, I do believe in a remodeled Xbox One.
2. Phantom Dust gameplay
3. Gameplay of 1st party titles announced/shown last year (Gears 4, Halo wars 2, Recore, Scalebound, Crackdown and Sea of Thieves, etc)
4. New Rare title
5. Two new IPs
