PDZ had a huge legacy to live up to, being a prequel to what is often listed as greatest 5th gen console shooter, Perfect Dark (alongside Goldeneye) . Also, PDZ came out a year after Halo 2, and didn't have on-par production quality with it. PDZ singleplayer had the same major flaws as the original, bad voice acting, and poor writing, which hampered the singleplayer. I highly doubt Perfect Dark Zero is one of the worst launch games ever. The game held a good sized player base during the early years of the 360 and got good reviews. PDZ is disappointing game, not a terrible one, I don't see how it's worse than Game Party Champions (24% on metacritic).

Not sure if adding sprint is necessary. I do think both jump height and movement speed should be increased. Also your campaign character seems much more agile than the mp marines. Doom unfortunately has a strong dichotomy between single and multiplayer.
@Garethvk If the mp had been more retro focused, it would of likely been better received and held players longer. Also if the mp was made with a competitive mindset, it may have been able to gain e-sport status.I wish the game had a co-op horde-like survivor mode.
I see art-styles similarities between We Happy Few and Bioschock (as well as Dishonored); nothing else screams strongly alike though.
Microsoft owns the IP and funded the games development. ReCore is a Microsoft game.

Bethesda should add an old school playlists, with the guns on map, no hack modules and loadouts also.
This game in the long run is going to suffer from having a season pass, it's MP doesn't have the player count to be split up. Also adding more guns, demons and timed perks to an already imbalanced (albeit fun in small dosages) mp , isn't gonna help the game. I hope Bethesda releases a campaign expansion (like they did with Wolfenstein). The expansion could also have reworked mp. By reworked mp, I mean the old school, fast paced, weapons on map, no BS multiplayer Bethesda pretended...

Doom (Doom 4), started development 8 years, was canceled and started back up after the completion of Rage. The game likely cost a fare amount to produce, due to the long dev cycle, initial cancelation and later rebooted development. I hear the game is selling well, but I would suspect the PC version may have under performed, partially due to the negative reception of the beta ( which was very harsh on PC). I got the game day 1 on PS4. The game is worth a buy as it delivers a solid lengthy FPS...

I'm currently enjoying the game; I have made it to the Montreal missions. However, I stick by my statements on the game's graphical and mechanical short comings (in my opinion).

It may have been stated (correct me if wrong), that all AAA Bethesda titles post Doom (2016) will use id tech 6. The technology is pretty impressive, with Doom being one of the best looking multiplatform shooters.
