The only way I could see Scalebound development resuming. Would be for MS to acquire the games source code from Platnium. Then have another studio finish and optimize the game.
I would highly doubt this. However, I personally think If another MS studio were to take over Scalebound, I would put my money on The Coalition. The Coalition have experience developing games with the Unreal 4 engine, which was the tech Scalebound used.
It is kinda odd that Prey wasn't made on idTech 6 like Doom. Doom looks and runs better than Prey.
I think a better word would be persuade. Blizzard can't force you to play thier games.
Title reads " 343 Industries: Halo 3 Is Not Getting Remastered", which was something that stated months ago. Xbox (with Spencer in charge), appears to be gradually moving away from relying on Halo (plus Gears and Forza) as much as they did in the past. Microsoft should be trying to build new or old IPs ,to have comparable success to Forza, Gears or Halo. This something they have failed to do so far, but you have to give new games a proper chance to succeed.
Exactly.
@Mikefizzled, There is no Bungie art-style. Halo's art direction, has changed on a game-to-game basis.
I have been gaining interest in the rebooted Prey. It sucks that Tommy is gone, and the new game has no connection to the original. The original game had an interesting story and setting. Prey (2006) also ended with a cliffhanger, that will never be resolved. I find it odd, Bethesda/ Arkane, didn't just title Prey (2017) as 'Typhon'.
Graphics aren't garbage. Halo 5 is still one of the better looking shooters, and the frame-rate is actually 60fps, unlike many other games, which have jumpy frame-rates.
Which games are more fun is subjective. Sprint in Halo 5 is pretty well implemented into the game, as it decreases combat readiness, and stops shield recharging. Sprint does not completely change how the game plays and feels. Halo 5, if anything, plays like a modernized Halo 2, in terms of pacing and competitiveness.
There is something wrong with the Halo fan-base. It was repeatedly stated months ago that Halo 3 wasn't getting a remaster. Even the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, stated that their was no Halo fps game this year. Halo 3 does not need another remaster anyways. For a an almost 10 year old game, it still looks good (but dated), and plays well in the MCC. If 343i reveals something Halo related at E3, I think there is a good chance it will be remade Halo 3 maps for Halo 5. Or maybe 343i will ann...
The Oregon Trail, was possibly the first game I ever beat as a kid, back in the mid 90s.
I don't recall western themed games, ever being popular (with Red Dead Redemption being an exception).
Titans have to be earned. In a one sided game, the better team would be getting more titans. Conversely, in a more competitive match, a similar amount of Titans would be dropped per team. Titans have a mobility disadvantage against pilots. Thus TItans and Pilots are supposed to support each other.
TItanfall 2 just added more weapons, perks, abilities, and titans. TItanfall 2 is far less balanced than Titanfall 1. To me Titanfall 2 is almost like Modern Warfare 2. It has mo...
'Dylan' isn't coming out until next year. If MS has an announced AAA marketing deal, it would like be for a game coming out in this fall.
No, Gears of War is an arena shooter, it does not need to take influence from Overwatch. MS and the Coalition, could however add guest characters to Gears of War mp.
The multiplayer has no canocial weight. Thus, characters from Halo, Crackdown, Perfect Dark, and even Killer Instinct could be guests. There is also no space travel in Gears of War.
Yup, I too enjoy TF 1 way more than TF 2.
Post release Quake Champions, will support modes with no character abilities. If the game manages to gain some e-sport following; I wonder if pros will prefer to play with or without character abilities. Competive arenas shooters have shown some resurgence in the e-sports scene with Gears UE/4 and Halo 5. However, I still think e-sports needs a true thoroughbred old school arena shooter.
"A game that has had its own mixed bag of reviews, Remedy Entertainment’s Alan Wake has found it’s days numbered"
What is with the unneeeded negativity here?
The Sangheist concept ip, never went into full development. Some of its concepts and tech were reused in Gears 4. I think the Coalition is big enough to work on more than one IP, if allowed to do so.
