I been stating for months that Halo 3, unlike CE and 2, has no no need for an anniversary edition. 343i, should focus as much resources, and time into Halo 6 as they can. It is unfortunate, that a proportion of the Halo community and some media, keep spreading misinformation regarding Halo 3: Anniversary. 343i has stated multiple times that Halo 3 Anniversary isn't happening.
There is no need to remaster Halo 3. For a nearly 10 year old game, Halo 3 still holds up well due to the effects and lighting. Character models and cutscenes do look a bit rough. Halo 3 plays really well in MCC. I don't see anything wrong, with porting the Halo 3 to PC and releasing it on steam. Halo 3 on steam would probably do fairly well.
Mass Effect 2 looks significantly better than Mass Effect 1. The first Witcher game was considered to be very dated graphically when it game out.
@EDMIX The whole company left Far Cry.
Had the Xbox One launched with specs on-par with Scorpio, the console would of been impractically expensive.
Crytek wasn't involved in the production of Far Cry 2. After the release of the first Far Cry, Crytek sold the IP to Ubisoft and moved on to creating Crysis for EA.
Microsoft funded Ryse, and the title under-performed and was not critically well received. Crytek is known for making games with very high budgets, notable Ryse and Crysis 3, which were separately funded by MS and EA. Both Crysis 3 and Ryse under-performed, and weren't as well received as earlier Crytek titles. I certain EA owns Crysis, not Crytek. Cryteks falling out with big publishers, and their mismanagement of resources is the companies own fault.
I am not shocked that Crytek is struggling. The company hasn't released a AAA game since Ryse (which came out in 2013). Also, not many developers are using the Cry Engine, likely due to it's subpar efficiency. Plus, Crytek appears to no longer receive funding from MS and EA.
Way when the game switched from the initial free-to-play pricing, to paid only. I was shocked that Activision-Blizzard, priced Overwatch at $60 bucks, the game should only be sold for like 30 dollars. There is no campaign, nor does the game have many modes. I'm certain the budget was also modest.
Hard aiming in Halo, decreased bullet spread for some weapons, as did crouching. Halo relies heavily on shot timing. Quake and Unreal, are focused heavily on gun skill, and you are suppose to move constantly, thus hard aiming had no benefit. Battlefront (2015), felt weird for shooting, because the 'bullet' spread was completely random, regardless of soft vs hard aiming and shot timing.
I found Battlefront (2015) to be completely boring, due to it lack depth. I will keep my exceptions for Battlefront 2 (2017) modest. I have had mixed opinions of Dice's most recent shooters, in terms of both singleplayer, and multiplayer.
In my opinion it's not the score of the review that should be looked at. Readers (and watchers ) of reviews, should be looking at the points the reviewer makes. Too many people nowadays look at the review score, and often ignore the actual write up and summary. I look at reviews and assess the points being made by the reviewer. I look for consistent good and bad points, being made about a game before a decide to buy, wait for sale or never touch it.
I was super hyped fo...
Overwatch was made by Blizzard, it was aggressively promoted before release, and it is general considered to be a good game. However, I personally think Overwatch got a lot of free passes.
I'm nearly physical only. The only downside for me is clutter. I can't bring myself to trade or sell old games.
Sly 3 had cliff hanger ending, and the story of the series needs closure.
Killzone 3, does have a indirect sequel, due to the existence of Killzone: Shadowfall. I think Shadowfall, was made in instead of KZ 4, because many people (including myself) disliked Rico and Sev.
Years later, I am still disappointed by XIII, Alan Wake and Half-Life 2, not having proper sequels. XIII's lack of sequel is understandable, since the game sold poorly. However, Alan Wake sold well ,and Half-Life 2 did exceptionally well. Half-Life 2 literally has no reason...
Bungie was bought by Microsoft in 2000, and later, chose to split from the company in 2007. I think the Xbox division, should of kept Bungie, and gave the company creative freedom, which is something all first party studios should have.
No.
I've played the mp for about 10hrs.
Halo 4, was built off of Bungie's Halo: Reach. While Halo 5, seems to take influence from Halo 2, with the addition of enhanced mobility. Due to the series showing declining sales and popularity. I assume after Halo 6, 343i will move on to non-Halo projects. And no Halo FPS will be released for an extended period of time.
