Battlefront 2, will sell well regardless of its quality. The game doesn't have to sell off of its own merit. Like Battlefront (2015), EA's Battlefront 2, can sell of off the hype of the newest Star Wars film.
People constantly hated on Scalebound whenever it was shown. The game only became something that was "exciting" and "interesting", after Microsoft canceled it.
Keiji Inafune, must of took a lot of the kickstarter money for himself. He likely got more wealthy, while the people that supported him, essentially got used.
Phil Spencer doesn't like to invest in games as much as he states. Just look at ReCore, and Conker's Big Reunion, two titles held back by meager budgets. Also, the only AAA titles that he has commissioned, are likely Gears 4, and the newer Forza titles.
I don't get why Microsoft recruited Super Lucky's Tale as a console exclusive. MS owns platforming IPs, such as Conker and Banjo, plus others, that Xbox fans likely have more interest in than Super Lucky's Tale.
Lawbreakers isn't an arena shooter. There isn't an emphasis on picking up weapons of the map. Lawbreakers, however, does have an emphasis on movement, similar to Unreal Tournmanet, a game Cliffy B co-created.
I miss the plentiful cartoony games, non-serious shooters, and greater diversity of the 90s to early 2000s. Games do seem to be diversifying again, which is good.
Anthem is probably wrapping up its final stages of development. Casey, will likely have more influence over BioWare's next title(s).
The decision to help fund Super Lucky's Tail, over Conker of Banjo is baffling.
It had a strong digital push. Most of people I know that bough Rare Replay, bought digital copies.
Banjo during it's prime had similar popularity to Crash.Conker, however was not as popular as Crash, but has a large cult following.
I think Rare Replay may have sold more digital than physical copies.
Microsoft does not own Jade Empire, I believe it is owned by EA (via acquiring BioWare).
Played some of the beta, Destiny 2 is not my type of shooter. I the game's style of PvP, simply isn't for me.
Wait companies charge for beta access now?
Thisgengaming writing more crap click bait.
Valve has no interest in AAA development.
I think the dimenishing returns of GPU and CPU hardware, are one of the main reasons games can't catch up to CGI. Another reason, is certainly cost per asset.
I disagree, games don't revile recent Pixar animated films. Games are never as 'clean' and 'even' looking as CG films. The gap between animated films and games has narrowed though.
Crackdown 1 & 2 , will probably arrive when Crackdown 3 launches. I assume Crackdown 3, will come with codes for the older games.
