Yes it is, all the studio has to do is explain that there are two Cortanas. The Cortana in Halo 5, was born from rampant fragments. Near the end of Halo 4, Cortana created "clones" of herself, however instead of dying, they entered the domain and merged, while the original Cortana died. If 343i had explained this in Halo 5, the story would have had one less issue.
Yah many of the modern shooters have an emphasis on skill gap compression and progression systems. Developers add skill-gap compression to their titles to help lower skilled players. This unlike older causal shooters, such as Perfect Dark, Timesplitters and Goldeneye 007 (plus other Bond games),which were highly accessible, however all players started matches on a level playing field.
When I first started playing Gears of War UE mp, I had a measly 0.75 K/D. However, with practice, learning map and power weapon control, and most importantly, improving gun-skill and character movement, I brought my overall K/D to 1.04. I like Gears of War 4 and Halo 5, for not giving people any crutches to lean on. If you aren't that good, you will not do well, unless you are matched up against weaker players. Nowadays, the more casual shooters, are so random it is unreal, with cheap perk...
Not sure if Destiny 2 is the "Hottest Game in The World". Does Destiny 2 have more players than PUBG? PUBG, managed to do 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, and the game hasn't come to console as of yet. I am personally not too interested either Destiny 2, or PUBG. However, it will be interesting to see how PUBG, Battlefront 2 (2017), and COD WWII, compare to each other this holiday, in-terms of sales, reception and player- counts.
There is no emphasis on weapon pick ups in lawbreakers, which is unlike Quake, Unreal Tournament,Gears of War, Halo, Timesplitters, etc. Arena shooters have an emphasis on weapon pickups, and equal (or near-equal) starts.
But the game isn't an arena shooter.
The big question is what the framerate will be like on Switch. The PS4 and XB1ran Doom at 1080p dynamic with some dips into the 50s. I don't see the Switch running Doom at 60 FPS, since it has considerablely less CPU and GPU resources than its competitors. And you are right, the Switch has noticeably less detail, the lighting looks to be dailed-back aswell.
The option to install only singleplayer or multiplayer would be cool. However, it maybe a bit more complex, than it appears.
You shouldn't be encouraging people to buy, buggy, unpolished games at full price. Publishers, need to learn, to not push their developers to rush-out games. The bottom line for publishers is cash. We as the consumers should "vote" with are money.
Once MIcrosoft (assuming they do) focus on games, articles will switch to berating the games the company releases.
There are very few hero shooters. Lawbreakers isn't even a hero shooter, it is an class-based shooter. Lawbreakers, flopped for several reasons. Firstly, it was often misidentified as a hero shooter, or " Overwatch clone", secondly it was falsely promoted by the media as an arena shooter. With better promotion, a potential free-to-play model, and different launch date, Lawbreakers, may have done better.
Activision, are going to annually release COD, until the franchise crashes. The company invests as minimumally into new tech as possible. The biggest FPS franchise of the past 10 years, doesn't even have dedicated servers. It will be interesting to see how COD WWII does compared to Infinite Warfare. The latter game had a big drop-off from BLOPs 3.
There have been recent Shadowrun and BattleTech (MechAssualt/Warrior are part of this franchise), however, they are surprisingly PC only.
Yah, I too personally see a Superman game, being very difficult to make.
I heard about this years ago.
There is no need for another Arkham game. Arkham Knight, brought good closure to the series. However, I wouldn't mind, Rocksteady, "taking a crack", at a Green Lantern, or dare I say Superman game.
Why didn't Monolith/Warner Bros Games, just create a new character, if they wanted a femme-fatale?
How?, Red Dead Redemption has no connections to Revolver, and the gameplay is very different. Far Cry 2 is set in the same universe as the first game, and has similar gameplay. Also Jack Carvier, may in fact be the Far Cry's Jackal.
159 Million, time to take the money and run. Oh wait this game isn't being made by Keiji Infanue.

The story of the Cortana in Halo 5 being made of fragments from the original was written by Frank O'Connor, for Halo: Tales from Slipspace https://www.halopedia.org/D... .
