Yup Steam is too big of potential market for MS to not be supporting. I also don't care about cross-buy. I see it as a gimmick, that won't be used by the waste majority of Xbox or PC gamers.
Aside: I find it odd that ReCore is getting a definitive edition. It not like the game was critical acclaimed like Ori and the Blind Forest. Sale for Recore a bit "up in smoke", but maybe the game did okay. However, the game should of never launched in the state that ...
Bethesda, must of had a big sale in the UK. Dishonored 2, Fallout 4, and Doom (2016) all tracked in the top 10. Crash Bandicoot: Insane Trilogy, might be the second anchor needed for a full resurgence of 3D platformers.
All MS games, that are released on PC should be on steam. Steam purchasers, however, likely wouldn't get cross buy.
Naughty Dog, was not owned by Sony when they developed Crash. Naughty Dog didn't own Crash when they developed it either, due to a partnership with Universal Games.
I don't get why people think Crash is a Sony's franchise. Crash was only exclusive to Sony for it's infancy. The series, was only Sony exclusive for 3 years of its 21 year life span.
I would have arena shooter as more than Quake and Doom. Doom started deathmatch, but Quake and Unreal Tournment fathered the oldschool competitive arena shooter. Shooters that don't have a strong emphasis on loadouts and perks, combined with an empahsis on using pickup-weapons, and onmap power ups, would be arena shooters.
Conker Live and Reloaded, is over 10 years old, and its visuals have aged like fine wine. https://m.youtube.com/watch...
Titanfall 2 had less balanced weapons, Titans, and Perks than the original. Also in Titanfalll 2, TTK was lower, making it easier to kill pilots. Titans were made weaker, due to the removal of recharging shields, thus they had less impact during matches.
In Titanfall 2 it felt like the devs went out of their way to make the game more accessible. By decreasing the skill gap, by adding more perks, weapons, titans, shorting kill times, and decreasing wall running.
Having to pay extra for hardmode is beyond rediculous.
Mass Effect Andromeda obviously had a troubled development. If anything, the game's development, and EA's mismanagement of it is what "killed", or likely put the franchise on hiatus.
Lawbreakers is not an arena shooter. It is a class based "hero" shooter. There is no emphasis on equal (or moderately different) starts.Nor is their a focus on pick up weapons.Games like Overwatch,Lawbreakes, and even Titanfall are being hailed as arena shooters, when they aren't.
Skirmish obviously wasn't a staple list, if very few people were playing it.
Rare was going down hill as soon as the 6th gen started. The company was simply not adapting well to the changing videogame landscape. Rare has made several respectable games after the MS buyout. No studio, has a generation of releases comparable to Rare's N64-era.
i'm not sure if Titanfall 2 bombed outright. The game appears to have solid several million copies. However, Titanfall 2 was constantly on sale after launch, and very likely only a small amount of its units were sold at full price. Everyone, I know, who bought Titanfall 2, got the game for either 30 bucks (myself included) or bundled with BF1.
I personally have 20 hrs in Titanfall 2 mp. I just don't think Titanfall 2 mp is that great. It is almost like the devs, went out of their way to make the mp more random, with increased skill gap compression.
I strongly disagree, despite enjoying both Titanfall 1 and 2. Titanfall 1, was a rather anemic shooter when it launched, there were few modes and it lacked a single-player. The game, should of never been $ 60. Titanfall 2, has a stellar campaign. However, I think Titanfall 2 mp, takes " one-step-forward and two-steps-back" in some areas, when compared to the original game. There are more guns, titans and modes, in Titanfall 2 than 1. However, the game is significantly less balanced...
Crysis 2 and 3, tried to mix and match arena shooter mechanics and with COD-esque loadouts and progression. The game(s) didn't have enough weapons on map, nor did it have enough weapons to justify a progression based loadout system. Many of weapons unlocked in the progression system, would of been better off as pick-ups weapons.
I am certain the Shadow of Mordor series, isn't canon to either the films or novels.
Really? Crysis 2 and 3 mp, while fun, needed more content and improved balance. Crysis 2 and 3, had terrible netcoding.
Ontopic: I don't think Crysis needs a reboot, as the series was properly finished. Plus Crysis 3 is only 4 years old.

I can see ReCore doing well, due to its low price, and digital sales. However, had the game released, in more polished state, it would have likely done better. Much reviews stated that ReCore, had good gameplay, but weak graphics and performance.
