Don't do the crime!

First of all, the law is the law. They didn't decide the penalty for armed robbery the day after they caught the guy.

Second, if the penalty was say, one year, instead of ten, I'd be willing to bet there would be a whole heck of a lot more armed robberies than there already is. It doesn't take quite as much desperation when you know the penalty isn't as severe.

Third, he may have robbed up to 5 othe...

Yes, but again, Steam is kind of a unique case this gen, and they still are competing with physical media. Also, although PC games aren't exactly on the same level of competition as that between consoles, their game prices are still somewhat dictated by the industry standards. If the console manufactures decided to drop prices, PC games would inevitably follow suit.

We can't say for sure how things would play out if DD was the only means of distribution but at the ...

well, let's be fair though- they are competing with retail. But think- if there was only DD, those costs would apply across the board and make pricing more competitive. At the start of the next gen of consoles, if one company decides it can drop the price of full retail games down to $40, that would be an enormous selling point of that particular console to the point that the other company would almost be forced to do the same.

Sony, MS, and Nintendo, and virtually ever...

They still get discounted from time to time.

Besides, there isn't any good reason for them to sell retail games for less just because you can download them. It might be a little different however if downloading was the only option. I feel that at the very least, prices won't go up any further, which I will settle for when we enter the next gen of consoles.

Furthermore, you are in for a rude awakening if you think you'll feel good about yourself ...

I already have played the crap out of this game. Great addition to PSN if it indeed comes.. very fun take on TD genre.

and that's fine to wait for that stuff, I normally am the same way. Last launch system I bought was... never I think. I've always been a bit late to the party.

That said, I'm changing that this time.

..playing a new, more robust FF:CC in 3D with much better online capabilities, not to mention the sheer amount of people to play with that would certainly be getting it at launch...

This game would be EPIC.

...where this kind of statement is prefacing any big multi-format release. Of course no developer is going to back their multi-million dollar multi-format game on the promise that your format could be the worst of the bunch.

We don't really need to hear this anymore. We realize developers are making every effort to make the game formats as close to identical as possible. Just release the game, and the public will tell you how well you succeeded.

Lets not forget the DS sold 70k more than xbox last week and is up to 130+m worldwide. Call me when ANY system sells more than the DS. Amazing it still sells like this even with the 3DS coming along in the near future.

Also Wii held 4 of the top 10 software spots compared to 2 for PS3 and 1 for 360.

Especially for a game that has only sold 600k since May. If they want any chance of selling more copies before the next influx of new AAA games, then moving the price down to $40 is a completely rational decision.. 20 would be insane.

I'm currently playing Darksiders after a pretty long hiatus from it. It's alright. There are parts of the game that are cool but its just too... samey. I've experienced everything this game has to offer before.. not that it's a terribly bad thing, but there just don't seem to be any genuine "Oh, wow!" moments because of that. I do appreciate the art style though and the story is pretty good.

I've heard that people actually prefer using the Move controller for Socom once you get used to it.

Also I saw a tech demo for an RTS game with Move, and the guy made it look incredibly accurate and efficient. Selecting units appears to be much more intuitive with the move and pressure-sensitive buttons, especially when selecting multiple units that don't fit snugly in a box.

As if any of us don't already own a 360 or PS3?

Truth of the matter is a 360 owner is going to have to spend $150, and a PS3 owner will have to spend $50-100 (because some of us already have PS Eye).

And why is there so much talk about multiplayer? 95% of core gamers play alone or online multiplayer. No core gamer wants Kinect or Move so that they can invite their friends over to play it. That may be sort of a fringe benefit I suppose for Kinect, but i...

The more I wants! Looks like a proper ****ing sequel through and through. Glad to see some developers try to move their IPs forward rather than keeping them right where they are.
