Yea! It seems likely, but I still hope to see it confirmed that these observer modes can be used in combination with both realtime games and replays.
The original game was never build with e-sports in mind. I think this selection of Observer modes is just what the game needs to support both the casters and the viewers better.
Apart from the e-sports reason, its also an easy way to get a better view of you own game.
I agree with that statement if you want to play "the real thing". However, these games on themselves can be quite allot of fun as well.
Apart from the obvious part, it's actually an interesting concept for in game customization.
It doesn't even seem to matter how obvious it is being used to sell something or if the product has anything to do with it at all, it still seems to work.
Yea thats the strange thing about these grindfest things. We almost love them as much as we hate them ;)
The highest number I have heard people saw was about 24000, which is well over what I believe to be the total number of (10000-15000) tickets actually being sold.
Heh, yea it was. It caught me by surprise really. The event is bigger, they have some sort of queue system in place and the ticket price is $125 usd and it still sold in a flash.
the video game industry have already overthrown the movie industry. Who knows, maybe we do get to see 100K events for games in the future as well :P
From what I heard, the new queue system sure did cause some long queues. The event sold out in mere minutes.
I agree. I don't think I have seen this kind of travel before in an MMO, but why not :). I know that video made me laugh.
Tunnelling sounds like fun :) I am not sure if it is something a superhero should do though. It sounds like a "badguy" skill.
Looking at the screenshot at least the action is good :)
When I first read about this interview I didn't expect alot, but it is actually a pretty good read! Some new bits as well.
Its essentially bad though because most other games I buy tend to disappointing :(
True, I agree. The difference between how it is done in WOW and most other games that feature it in a more official way is that these paid features do no hurt other players.
If I can buy all of the best weapons for my char the moment they become available other players will be at a disadvantage. If I pay for a character transfer it will not structurally affect other players in a negative way.
Balancing an ingame economy is hard enough as it is without RMT. RMT only makes it that much harder to do, and if not done right, it will make the game that much more unpleasant for non-RMT players because of the disadvantage they are at.
@Leord
Haha, yea!
It reminded me of all those games (especially in the past) that showed amazing screenshots on their box which only showed ingame cinematics!
Its not that bad with comics/manga though :)
I'm not sure really, I am getting used to it slowly.
I do think I like the pocket books more though.
@Leord: I can remember that the addition of replays back then was a pretty big deal on itself!
Thinking about that, I wonder how well this game would have done as an e-sport without the replays.
