That is a bit greedy. Even Sony with its PS plus free games wants to earn money.
I got Catherine and XCOm for free on PSplus recently. Allthough these are slightly older games, this is about as close as it is going to get to free full retail games....
A nice extra, but i see nothing really special here. Must say that warthunder on the PC was fun.
I can see how gaming on tablets and phones threaten the vita and DS. ( allthough i prefer dedicated gaming devices ) However, the console /pc games are something totally different. So no, I don't see those games a threat to the consoles.

No it is not. You might prefer pc gaming. You're arguments are not wrong. I do believe you when you say MK looks better on your PC than on your PS3.

Doubtfull. I still use my ps2 and can't say the graphics are "better" than this.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky had fairly decent graphics on the psp so I have no doubt the psvita game will be okay :)
Besides there are more important aspect to an rpg.

I myself am not the biggest Xbox fan. I've bought both a 360 and a ps3. The Xbox360 was purchased in 2008. ( so it was not an early release console ) It never had any hardware problems. While I haven't used it regularly , family members have. It is safe to say that it has been used on a dialy basis.

1. Kinect. Yeahhh didn't go for the Wii or WiiU. Didn't want Kinect on the 360. Don't see a reason to want it now. personal taste though.

In the past when we bought a product, we owned that product. A physical game is such a product and we should be allowed to buy and sell it ( on ebay, or in the local store ) . MS is limiting that right. Even if you NEVER sell or buy used games this is a limitation to the rights you have.
Also: Why should MS treat me as a criminal by checking my activity online? I have no use for them "auditing" my game system. Perhaps they have some small text that allows them to do...
I actually think it was well deserved. It helps remind companies like MS , Sony and EA that consumers allways have a choice. ( being the option NOT to buy their products if they feel they are being ripped off )

Ahh there were people that were saying the consoles were doomed ever since the Atari 2600 in the 80's ( due to bad Atari managent choices )
They were saying the pc was going to replace the console. Never happened either.
The dreamcast was a great console, as was the saturn. Than again so was the Atari 2600. Time moves on. I enjoyed my PS3, and my family enjoyed my xbox360.

As the dreamcast has no blueray and it graphical output is limited it cannot be considered anywhere near " next gen" as good as its games may be ~~
Doubt that pricing will make that much of a difference. Those that are looking for the cheapest console will most likely go to the WIIU.
Specs and design choices will matter more, judging from the general response of the public.
The Xbox360 has served me well. Still have my first console and other than having some heating problems ( console cannot be placed in a closed environment ) it still works as it did years ago.

The machines haven't arrived yet so its all just speculation. Other than that the PS3 was supposed to be superior to xbox360 ( I really don't care much either way ) , but in the end it is mostly about content.
You can have great hardware ( the VITA is far superior to the DS3 hardware ) but a great platform doesn't have to mean it will offer the best gaming experience.
Only time will tell en most likely both the PS3 and new XBox will host a number of great games. ...
If Square would give any platform a decent Final Fantasy it would be a small miracle.

Battery life on most of those devices is poor. Add to that that you use your tablet and phones for several tasks. ( reading, internet, photo's etc ,etc )means that your battery is taxed even more.
So I personally still feel a dedicated game device works better.
