It will be a new IP more than likely. I don’t think that they will go into a realm that they have already created. But that is my opinion, which doesn’t mean much.
They might take the Final Fantasy route. Make it for the PC, but make it good and make sure it is good for the consoles. Then release it on the next generation consoles when they are released. I would imagine that the next generation of consoles are going to be mentioned next year and released 2012 or the latest 2013.
it will go FTP in about 5 years. With SW:TOR, GW2, plus many many more, they all will take bits and pieces eventually.
Every year is a great year for gaming, unless we are going back to the early 80s....................
Of course it is called CYOA. Gaming media is competition and the internet is competition. Why would the dinosaur TV media one of the biggest propaganda machines on earth want competition ruining their brain washing?
I am guilty of buying games that are on sale. I just bought Just Cause 2 30 minutes ago on Steam for $7 greenbacks. And I have been buys games since Thanksgiving sales.
FFXIV for me. I like Alpha Protocol and Alien vs Predator for PC.
When I hear Origins I remember Wing Commander and System Shock, good ole days.
I could be wrong, won’t be the first time. But I don’t think that another COD title will sell as good for a long time. Currently Black Ops has everything I could want and really don’t need another game until there is a massive innovation jump.
Tough launch, but a good game.
Shooters are shooters; there are very few differences between each shooter. A RTS however has the potential to be vastly different between each version and/or developer.
Console fanboi gets on PC to post against the PC on a PC topic, funny.
For the past year since I have joined N4G this BS argument has went on every week. It is getting tiresome and I must admit that I pour fuel in the fire every once in a while. However:
Consoles will never beat a PC in performance and options.
PCs will never beat consoles in popularity and simplicity.
Cost can be argued until the cows fly home. Cost will only depend on the individual. I have a family of four, so it is cheaper to game on the PC ...
I would take those numbers with a grain of salt.

Really? If you knew what you were talking about, you’d be wrong. Spent $600.00 on a graphic card, my ass. And that 8800gt can still run those games........
It is nice of him to say it, but we already knew it!
Got Ultimate Dragon age for $25.00 (sale) on Impulse and Need For Speed HS for $39.99 (coupon).
Those are not that great of a deal for PC.
@Bloodlyte
If you want to talk about just released products, then the X-Box and the PS3 was pricey. And don’t give me the BS about the X-Box, I owned one at release (pre ordered), the Wi-Fi, plus a extra controller set me back a extra $150.00. Then one month later the Xbox died and in that one year I went through 4 of them. On the 4th the thing was sold as a package.
And if you want to crunch numbers, PC games are 10 to 20% cheaper than the consoles at relea...
I have a ton of respect for Blizzard and their personnel, but I have to disagree with his comments. Signings are at very few local stores, so that is a non-issue. But the collectors edition is only worth it if you want it. A majority of people can care less about most collectors editions.
I agree, Arkham Asylum is such a good game or work of art. That Arkham City may trump Asylum, but it won’t give everyone that wow factor as the first. If it does just as good of a job as Asylum, I will be happy.
