Why bother when you now can probably play the same games on the NGP itself.
Did the rest of the presentation just go over this guy's head? It has 3G support, front and rear touch pads, real dual analog sticks, 3g, wi-fi, trophies, and a whole set of other non-gaming applications.
The 3DS's main attraction is the 3D and game cube graphics. Other than that, what's new on it? Same touch style games. Same franchises. It's probably going to be a good handheld but if you really think about it, the features are thin compared to the PSP2.
The real question with that though is that what service provider will support it? How much will it cost monthly? How fast or slow will it be? What kind of gaming can actually be done on it, light online games or full on COD style games?
Oh well who cares, real Dual analog sticks already sold me!
Yup a quad core CPU will hopefully make this device have longer legs in terms of graphics. At least for sure now we know it's going to be much more powerful than every other mobile platform right now.
Man I have a feeling with all this tech they're going to price it at least $299 though.
Wow a lot of tech that I didn't expect.
LA NWAAAA
You know regardless of what people's preferred console is, Darkride has a point about LOT. The staff 8 out of 10 times picks the 360 versions regardless if the PS3 appears to be "better." That tells you something doesn't it? Then they try and act like they aren't fanboys, but they'll always throw in something like "But the 360 controller is better for FPSs."
Seriously, where did this myth of the 360 controller being better for FPS's co...
It's funny how he describes himself and everything is self-proclaimed. What next?
It actually looks pretty good to me too. I cant wait to see how this game actually runs on my GTX 580 and if Crytek's claims come through.
What does it have anything to do with PS3 fanboys or PS3 at all? It's a 360 demo and people who PLAYED the 360 demo either liked it or didn't.
What now? It's a 360 fanboy civil war?
Are you sure there aren't any other titles for the 360? I'm sure there's SOMETHING other than Gears and Forza. Oh well, be prepared for the usual...
"But but but wait for E3, MS don't like to announce exclusives until the next decade"
:)
It's an MMO, and for people who think it's worth it will pay the monthly fee. Just like the millions of other people paying for other MMOs. This is nothing new with exception that it's now available on a console.
Yeah what do people expect, it's an MMO
I think if you compare the engines head to head, Cryengine has dynamic EVERYTHING while UE is all pre-scripted unless combined with PhysX or Havok. It's not about textures or lighting anymore.

Take a look at that video at 1:45
Now where on consoles or any other engine have you see that level of detailed destruction? And that's with Cry...
As much as I'd like originality in FPS games like other people, there's no denying that a solid military based shooter (soon BF3) is what I want.
It only gets repetitive and boring when you look at something like Homefront and automatically think "COD."
Developers need to understand that simple changes of skin and gimmicks aren't going to win any awards. (MOH)
That's why Education is important still.
Looks like MAG,COD,BF
Hrmm... pretty much another FPS
Sadly the only reason I use my 360 now is for Kinect and Dance Central. Still waiting for another title to actually use it for.
(Same goes for the PS Move, haven't touched it in awhile either)
So far I have migrated to mostly PC gaming. But it's great that there's finally some cross-platform gaming starting with Portal 2.
And it's Ironic that the two FREE services Steam and PSN is allowing this.
The 3DS can do game cube graphics, the PSP2 can do PS3 graphics.
The 3DS can run MGS3.
The PSP2 can run MGS4.
You do the math.
