I agree about Rage. After the initial "Oooh Megatextures!" it was all boring and repetitive.
Eh who cares about PS3 vs 360 sales. The 360 came out a year earlier in the U.S. and 1 1/2 years earlier in other territories yet the PS3 worldwide isn't that far behind.
That went over your head didn't it. lol
The thing preventing me from buying a Wii U is a Sony PlayStation 3 Super Slim edition
All the Uncharted games were native 720p, which is not sub-HD.
"The Wii kicked Sony and Microsoft's ass with two GCN'S duct taped together."
In number of consoles sold, yes. But in the grand scheme of things, no. Games games and more games is what Microsoft and Sony provided either first or third party.
Out of the millions of Wii's sold, how many are actually still being used, nobody will know for sure. But the 360 and PS3 are still played everyday because of the constant stream of content.

Youd be surprised to find the newbies on thr forums asking if their e6600 is bottlenecking their brand new gtx680. Lol
But we all learn some day as i was no different. When i didnt know a thing about computers i was wondering why crysis ran no different when i went from an 8800gts to a gtx260 while running a pentium d.
As for the topic, i think nintendo was banking on games being more gpu bound. Which isnt exactly a bad thing since it will allow them to have ...
Borderlands 2 actually has some really good PhysX effects too. I don't care what those Radeon folks say, PhysX looks fantastic when done right. Its just a shame not more games take advantage of it.

Yeah it is weird that they didn't release it with a price drop much like they did with the original slim.
This looks like a $199 product. With that price and a new design, it probably would have sold like gangbusters this holiday and taking some of the wind out of the Wii U launch.
But knowing Sony, they have been making weird decisions this whole generation. (Not talking about games quality, that's a non-issue)
I would say most people enjoyed UC2 because how significant it was in terms of graphics, story, gameplay at the time. UC3 came out and didn't have quite the same impact. With that said I enjoyed UC3 for being something I didn't expect.
A more straight through story without a bunch of twists and more exploring Drake and Sully's beginnings.
I never had a chance to play it. This is a spoiler to me too. But IMO, who really plays Gears of War for the Story? lol
VI is the best ever. Characters, story, and graphics (for its time).
FFXII was good, not the best, but good. Better than XIII at least.
Not just that, but didn't the PS3 version look and run crappy compared to the 360 version? So most people who were remotely interested got the 360 version which practically limited the install base anyway. That and the 360 is dead in Japan.
Nonetheless, they still should have released it on all 3 current gen consoles. 360/PS3/Wii U.
I personally never liked the crazy amount of cheese that game had anyway despite all the good reviews on the combat etc.
"I think this is the first launch of a console that gives you a color choice at all."
Not entirely true, the Xbox 360 came with 3 green lights and as a little time goes on, you get 3 red lights.
Oh sorry not the same thing
:)
Easy. Put down the crappy half-tablet thing. Put it in the garbage. And then imagine playing it in your head at 4K resolution SSAA DirectX13. It will probably be a lot better.
Most of the past COD games were 600p and 540p. So maybe Full HD they actually got it to run at 720p???
The problem with the iPhone 5 is that all it did was play catch up to the rest of the smart phones that have been out a year already. Same as it was with the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S.
And the new round of Android smart phones will probably have more features and vastly superior hardware specs to the iPhone 5. Then at this rate, the iPhone 6 will do nothing but play catch up AGAIN.
Veni,
You're missing the point about RAM. The 1GB of RAM for the Wii is most likely 1GB of RAM including VRAM dedicated solely to gaming. Which is about the same as low-mid ranged GPU's today. Good enough for decent 1080p and more than enough for 720p games.
PS3 has 256MB of VRAM while 360 has 512MB.
Its only recently with the 7000 series GPUs and Nvidia 600s that 2-3GB of VRAM is the norm for upper range PC GPUs.

Are you guys really basing the performance of the system on how many watts it can pull? I understand that you can somehow base it on certain components like gpu and cpu, but we don't really know the real efficiency of either.
It's like a 63W ivy bridge processor which blows the doors off a 125W AMD processor. (not starting a cpu brand war here, just an example.)
Still, the 1GB of RAM is going to help this system a lot. It might just be Xbox360/PS3 gr...
He's probably bitter that he went through all that crap to be the "tester" and then got laid off for probably being useless.
Now that he's blasted Sony with these tweets, good luck getting another job at any other company.
