I am actually one of those who don't really care for 4K resolutions. Why? Because consoles can't even do 1080p 60fps, and if the PS4/NextBox can at least achieve that, then it would be a big leap already. They will sell millions more consoles if they cater to the "still growing" 1080p market.
And 4K resolution would need some SERIOUS hardware. We're talking GTX 680s and Radeon 7970s ...
I never played FFXIII-2, but FFXIII was a bit boring to me. I got practically to almost the end and didn't finish it. Haven't back to it since and never really had the urge to either.
Although I'm still more excited for FF versus but who knows if that even still exists.

Without the resolution Fix, it looks too muddy. But after the fix, forcing 16xQCSAA in the control panel, enabling motion Blur, it looks miles better to me.
And for some reason being locked to 30fps didn't bother me as much, it really made it feel more like Demon's Souls to me.

Hmm good point, but man if Sony is going to try to push 4K TV's and PS4's at the same time, they are going to be fighting an uphill battle. Hopefully by the time it does release it isn't going to cost people's monthly rent.

I think Darksiders is a good example of having a linear story but with open world characteristics in the gameplay. However, I don't think anybody wants to play a 20 hours transformers game with RPG elements.
Personally I'm enjoying the game the way it is right now, a fun shooter with transforming robots and great characters.
There are lot of generation defining games, it's just that we've played them all already. I'm ready for the next round also. Not just because of having more powerful console hardware, but for them to finally make games that push the PCs too.
Honestly, DMC is looking really good except the re-imagining of Dante from a complete bad-ass to that beat up 15 year old annoying teen.

Anyway I agree, graphics aren't "everything" and a lot of timeless games don't have to have the best graphics. But there are a few games that were amazing in which became more amazing after a re-master. Shadow of the Colossus comes to mind for me. Heck, even FFVII on the PC with just smoother lines made it more playable.
