@Deano1988, everybody has different taste/preferences what is so hard to understand?
Your laptop would most likely be better of with 10. Especially if you grab an SSD for it.
@Rayven, I think Rainbow 6 Seige and Overwatch are near perfect examples of how it should be done. You buy the game and any game-play changes are provided for free to prevent the split of the community then you can purchase packs to speed up progress or buy skins. Anybody who still plays Battlefront but doesn't want to buy this first DLC is going to start logging in to empty servers because they don't have the DLC. If EA doesn't start following the trends of other developers/publi...
Not sure why you have so many down-votes. All people have to do is look at the previous two generations; Sony made a slim model with slightly increased power, but only enough to make experiences like menu nav and media playback smoother with no effect on games.
@perjoss
Who is to say uPlay and/or Origin won't get shut down? Who is to say Steam won't ever shut down? Everything dies eventually, so eventually you are going to lose all of your games no matter where it is purchased.
I freaking hate those! Page loads, you put your thumb on the screen and an ad pops up and registers the thumb as a tap and takes you to a new page that then goes to another page, then opens the app store. You close all of that, hit the back button, page loads but this time a different ad pops up with no x to close it so you have to refresh the page. Or those shitty ads that bounce around your screen when you scroll preventing you from reading anything. FFS mobile browsing is the worst!
Governmental sites are worse. Got a speeding ticket a few months back and I couldn't even access their website from a modern browser because of the lack of security. Had to use IE8.
Then all games are too expensive
@generic-user-name: everybody I have talked to is looking forward to this game for the very same reason. I think the game will do fine upon release. I know I'm excited :D
Not sure why you would consider dropping $50 for it either, especially when the season pass is only $30.
Either way it's a loss in profit. Getting people "back into the game" without them buying anything doesn't help in any way. Yes, it would be very nice to get things for free but unfortunately there is no gain for companies to give it away like that.
The key to getting better is playing against bots and trying new things (practice hitting the ball while boost flying, or jumping off walls to hit the ball). Even when losing, the game is an absolute blast! Have fun!
It is not necessarily "good" for X1 but it is not nearly as harmful (if at all) as what people make it out to be. Many of us invest our gaming funds into a nice gaming PC and we don't really want to shill out another $350 on an Xbox just so we can play Forza/Gears/Halo/Quantum/ReCor e. Those games are not worth an additional $350 to many people.
People also need to realize the gap between the PC and console communities is actually quite large. Not everybody wh...
Those are not finalized graphics and are compressed placeholder graphics for testing. They have already shown better graphics at their E3 demo.
The latest build may not even start. Just because the code is there doesn't mean it is ready for the eyes of the world. Betas (true betas and not the stress tests like with Battlefront and the Battlefield games that are incorrectly labeled) are usually the last working version of the game and it is very possible the game hasn't worked in months even though a plethora of changes have been made.
Microsoft has failed to convince me to get an X1 as it is. Gears, Forza, and a shitty Halo are not reasons to buy an X1 in my point of view. I'm actually kind of regretting my PS4 but have my hopes high for some of the exclusives about to drop. Some people won't be buying the console anyway but miss out on software so I think it is a great opportunity for Microsoft to make a little more.
Anybody else getting 404?
@pivotplease, how is it a re-skinned Battlefield?
@ifistbrowni, it's not what the developers value the DLC at but the publisher. We all know EA is the greediest of them all.
This would be nice if the frame rates were decent and the party system worked on X1.
