The lighting is admittedly MUCH better (in some parts, other parts it just makes it hard to see). But I think they are using the darkness to hide texture downgrades. Climbing into the cockpit seems to have lost ~50% of the detail in the comiccon trailer.
Agreed, it is dead now and even with the DLC being solid and possibly worth the $, but the fact that I can't really play it ensures I will not buy a single piece of DLC.

One new character isn't the only thing they have planned. They have more characters, maps, skins, origins trailers, etc on the way. But these things take time, especially trying to hide the lore within the levels and character dialogue. They aren't just making a shooter, they are making a world with a story behind it.
Now that Ana is out, I bet a new map will be next. And in that map will be hints towards the next character. They will probably secretly patch in som...
Reaper's ult isn't that bad. 1/10 he kills more than one person. He is easier to kill as he moves slower, d.va can block the ult, reinhardt can block the ult, zenyatta can heal through the ult, etc. Most of the time he dies before it is finished. If you frequently die to Reaper ults then the team isn't properly watching the flanks.

Just went to LA last week I can really see the influences from areas like Pershing Square, Hollywood, Venice Beach, and Santa Monica Pier. There is no doubt that Los Santos is influences more by LA than anywhere else.
From what I've heard MP in H5 is pretty solid. Haven't played it myself since H4 left such a horrible, absolutely dreadful, impression.
Just because maps/modes are free doesn't mean there won't be macro/micro transactions for skins and such. I'm hoping more games start to implement this as it is a way to generate more revenue that is completely optional to the gamer.
It might be a good game but a fragmented community, hardly any players, and having to pay at least an extra $30 to have what should have been there at launch is what makes it a game most people look down upon. I loved the game for the first couple of days and haven't picked it up since. DICE makes really good shooters but their biggest weakness is their lack of content at release and their fragmentation of the community. Especially at a time where many/most developers are making DLC free ...
@jgonger, Where did you get the information that NMS has no objective? Because that is completely false. Read just about any article about the game and you will know what it is about. Also even if it is aimless roaming/no objective how can you say it will fail after Minecraft, Terraria, and other "aimless" games became huge hits?

I wish they would put more heists in the game so people could potentially EARN those high priced toys. But that probably won't happen :/
Yes Blizzard is willing to give away free DLC and accept [optional] micro-transactions on cosmetics because that is how they will fund further development (AKA the free DLC). Mod support and map editors would split the community which is bad for online communities. Lack of splitscreen doesn't happen very often because 9.9 times out of 10, people are playing from their houses (LAN parties aren't as commonplace anymore).

Because that 10/10 reflects the QUALITY of the game, micro-transactions didn't hinder the quality of the game. They didn't lock things behind a pay wall, they didn't cut content for these "world ending micro-transactions", AND they are giving future heroes and maps for FREE!!!! Can somebody please explain to me how micro-transactions, in this case, is actually a bad thing? All I see are people who are angry with no substantive reason to be.

People STILL play Diablo 2 and StarCraft online. Blizzard games don't die in a month like a lot of - sorry to say but ignorant - people in the N4G comment sections believe.
@BrandanT, he means that games are more expensive to make but are cheaper for the consumer.
I suggest trying the 2nd one before buying the 3rd, it may go down in price even more before you finished the 2nd. Also, the combat in the 1st is admittedly terrible so don't judge the series based on the first game.
Let's not forget that the P6000 will also cost at least $5000. Are people really willing to pay that for gaming?
