Optional AND doesn't affect the balance of the game. I don't see why people are so upset about this when any content that does affect gameplay (maps and heroes) is given to all players for free.

IMO they don't put an fps counter because there isn't much reason to. Games with either be 30 or 60fps. If it's not stable you will notice the frame skips/jittering so why waste money putting a counter on there?

Yeah, I was really confused about this from the beginning. The art style is already different from Zelda, change some of the assets, rename it to Zeldu or something, and you have a legit and legal game.
That's nearly 2 years old now and still no clue as if the game will even be out by the end of 2018. Fairly irrelevant.
@kneon, changing the location where information is cached doesn't really constitute a new generation of consoles. It's really only going to require a small change in the code to check which console it's being run on then using a different API accordingly.
@Goldby, I'm not sure about Sony telling them to tread carefully but it is a possibility. Hello Games did come out and state with the Foundation Update that they went silent because of the PR mess they had gotten into, they didn't want to dig the hole deeper. It really was a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

@blewren4, I can play the games at a higher resolution, higher refresh rate, use texture packs to improve the graphics (the 8K texture pack is demonstrated in the video above), and I can force FXAA to improve the visual fidelity. Took me a half a second to think of these things, you asked for one I gave you four. Use your head and stop being a judgmental.

@wonderful, to you, maybe it's not a waste. But I only like to play Mario kart, smash, and Zelda. I'm not a fan of the other Nintendo games. After graduating college my friends have dispersed to different regions of the country so I have no reason to purchase MK or Smash since we cannot couch play anymore which only leaves Zelda. So why would I waste an "investment" of $300 to play 1 and only 1 game? It's not console elitism, it's my preference in games.

I don't think COD will ever have those things or they would have done it by now. COD players don't want that stuff, they want the face paced twitch combat where your gun unloads 50 rounds in the time it takes for you to pull the trigger and you either insta-kill or insta-die in 0.01 seconds.
@boomtube1987, have you played a Battlefield game? You don't run miles without encountering enemies, at worst you run for 30 seconds if you spawn yourself on the opposite end of the map. If you spawn yourself on a point closer to the combat then it's not a problem.
Make an example out of them how? What are they doing wrong? All they are doing is writing their own software (not stealing it) to EMULATE the functionality of something else. It's arguably not even the same functionality because they aren't recreating the OS or any web, store, mii functionality, etc.
When this is running well, I will be buying the game in order to play it. I just don't want to waste $300 on a console for a single game. I wish people would stop assuming things about others.

It varies I think, I got the Battlefront steelbook and it feels heavy and is good quality. However the Persona 5 steelbook feels really cheap to me. Love the case and I'm not really complaining since it didn't cost anything extra, just pointing out that it seems like steelbooks vary in how they feel.
