Keep in mind that this isn't some big public declaration or interview stating that the PS3 architecture sucks and is too hard. This was a response to question asked of them on their own forum, which was, "Xbox 360 or PS3?"

Her full answer was that they have an equal number of dev kits and people working on both platforms, so both receive roughly the same attention. Her addendum was that the PS3 is more complex to work with, a simple truth that no one can deny....

It's a very similar mechanic to the multiplayer in the Source game "The Ship."

Though I suspect that very few people have played it, and AC:B's multi looks much more interesting. The mechanic of everyone out to kill someone is not new, but it arguably fits best in this.

It also merits mentioning that Schafer tends to create quite original concepts as well as unique and clever writing that makes games more than just gravel-voiced machismos firing out from behind chest-high walls.

How can Enslaved, a game that hasn't been released yet, be overrated?

You can't even say it's overhyped, since there really hasn't been any of that either.

Yeah, so I don't even own a 360, and I find the "if you don't own a PS3" comment to be a complete load of bollocks.

You see, I could say that, if you haven't played Cave Story or at least one adventure game, if you haven't stood up from the couch and vibrated the floor/NES to a pixelated reset, if you haven't beaten every classic Megaman game, if you don't know the origin of "all your base," if you've never slaughtered with or b...

It really depends upon what system you're talking about.

If you're talking PC, then D2D, GoG, and especially Steam offer across the board cheaper prices and fairly constant sales that provide games at the least possible expense. I particularly love that because, unlike buying used or renting, it still supports the developer.

Console downloading hasn't caught up because there's comparatively little available. At the moment they're caught ...

Who cares how it compares to Uncharted? Sure maybe the platforming and visuals are similar and whatnot, but the concept and story are so far apart that judging one based upon the other is absurd.

Is it possible, I mean, possible at all, that both games can exist and be good?

Are you really so sure of that?

Yes, you are correct. This would also be after she was paralyzed, so having her come back as Batgirl really wouldn't make sense in terms of continuity.

Of course, if City doesn't follow (at least forward, prequel's another matter) with the line of story established in Asylum, then there's nothing to worry about.

As much as I don't in particular disagree with you, someone had to have said somewhere along the development line that this Dante bore a relative similarity to the Robert Pattinson portrayal of glitter-vampire Edward.

Considering what I'd expect to be a pretty minimal fan overlap between Twilight and DMC, this seems like a mistake.

Speaking as one not outraged but merely a little bemused by the different character direction, I'd not have minded some change to the formula of the series.

As far as character design goes, even if this was for an original project... it just looks kind of dumb. Not to beat the obvious commentary to death, but the scrawny/pretty boy/badass combination seems weak and begs for a terribly unlikeable character by presence alone. I suppose it might be better than the pillars...

I just finished playing through AC: II recently, and I don't think the platforming is any worse (in terms of ease) than the two-button free-running in that franchise. Don't get me wrong, I love it, and it provides a nice way of seeing a lot of beautiful scenery/an awesome feel of free-spirited movement. It's still pretty easy for the most part (except for when I faceplanted into Venice streets X_x)

Although it does seem that the most apt comparison would be Unch...

Whereas piracy doesn't quite account for the expressed amount of lost money (since pirated games don't quite equal potential sales), it doesn't change the fact that it is theft and is illegal.

There's no semantics argument on that point; something that is intended to be bought and paid for with various licensing agreements is not supposed to be freely given. Just because you didn't intend to buy it in the first place doesn't make "copying" a...

As nice as it would be, Alan Wake was published by Microsoft. It doesn't seem very in-character for them to release it on their competitor's system, even if it would yield greater profits for them.

It'd be like Fox ever relinquishing the rights to Firefly.

I think what everyone means is: "We appreciate the effort gone towards providing information about cheap video games and the like. However, we do not care very much for the Gamestop and Best Buy franchises, and the list put out by Best Buy for this deal is an unfortunate pile of excrement."

Not sure about that: Bioware tends to like to make a strong narrative. It seemed as though, this time, they wanted to make something more about the protagonist. DA:O was all about the political intrigue and situation of the realm. Sure, the Warden was a big part of that, but, regardless, the Warden's "strength" of character is entirely subjective, based upon he/she was played in each individual session.

I do like that, for the most part, BioWare is moving awa...

This is true, but strengthening one weakens another. A more defined protagonist syncs more fully with the story, as events are occurring and shaping based upon his/her motivations, which can be different than that of the player.

Think of it as a line:

Customization -------------- Middle Ground -------------- Characterization

The Warden (DA:O) Shepard (Mass Effect) Geralt (Witcher)

One could argue that, by pr...

Journalism is a dying art that's being trotted out to the masses. Anyone with an opinion and a half-functional brain is asked to spew their words onto a page whether or not they can string them together.

A little mean, sorry, but, regardless of the content, the writing style is like an 10 year-old telling his friend these things over the phone with a stenographer nearby taking notes verbatim.
