The graphics downgrade is real with this one, but I'm still intrigued at the possibilities of gameplay and decision making. I love games where my choices determine how a game plays out.
it ran smooth as heck on the first pts, not sure what happened. But this game just isn't in shape for an actual release at least for another year or so if not longer. No matter how many optimization patches they do it still performs terribly at times not to mention all the bugs that are still present since day 1. They simply don't have the team to polish this game the right way.
Still need to work on hit detection for crying out loud.
A failure? It sits at a 77 metacritic score. Far from a failure. You might not have liked it so I get it.but definitely not a failure.
Whaaaat...I hope so. I loved the game and show. Both were too short though.
Don't overpromise and under deliver, it's a good way to burn players smh
Looks incredible but nothing we haven’t seen in its predecessor. Might be the most beautiful game ever though
Why are you certain of that? There’s games running native 4K 60fps on x1x already...I expect the same from this game. But we will see eventually.
i agree, that's what gaming has become. Look at every annual game that comes out, it's more of the same old same. They had enough time with this game to really make it standout. The first one was great though, so if this one is more polished and grander in scope it should be just as good, but they definitely missed some opportunities.
stale formula? They put together some of the best narrative games out. Nobody does story like them. While the actual gameplay can be slow paced, it fits. It helps be more involved with the story than what every other game does, pump gameplay but forget narrative. Still waiting on the next season of GOT
MS built their network first, made a killer console, and seemingly just skipped games. Whereas Sony focused on their games. I can't go another e3 without some killer apps for Xbox. Hoping to see Jade Empire 2, a KOTOR, something exciting
says it's coming to ps4 and xbox one but no word on anything dealing with the xbox?
To build the game from the ground up specifically for consoles is awesome, 60 fps is even better and it looks great. Let me know when it hits xbox. PUBG is fine but the slow updates is crippling that game in my honest opinion.
I'm always curious why people keep saying xbox has a lack of exclusives, it's not actual fact. Maybe don't have the same quality of exclusives, but quantity? Pretty sure it's close to what Sony has released. Just released Sea of Thieves, next month State of Decay 2..crackdown 3 coming down the pipe and who knows what else.
yup, and @minute man...they would if they weren't just another game in a series. At least I think so, I know I jumped on Quantum Break personally. Ori and Cuphead aren't my thing, but those are the kind of games MS keeps pushing out. I'm good with that but then they cancel Scalebound. I just want them to try man. I'm pretty sure we're going to see another gears either this e3 or next e3 lol.
before the xbox one x came out, ps4 pro was all the rage when it came to power etc. Now it's all the rage for the exclusives and now power etc never comes out of the mouth of a playstation player. Sony has had the better exclusives in my opinion, it's the only reason I'm even into PS. Horizon, TLOU 2, God of War, that samurai game that's coming out...4 games for one console, that's all that i want. In between those exclusives what's there? Multiplats...
i never understood how people enjoy donating money to folks that stream and do youtube. you're working hard at your job for these folks to get free handouts off of you. it's honestly still weird to me but that's your choice for your money.
I don't get why some people pop as streamers and youtubers and others barely get a view. It's weird, but my mindset has turned around on it all. Sure it would be nice to make significant money doing something we love,...
The problem with PUBG is that they don't have the team to crank out updates with regularity like fortnite.
Every patch (console wise) has been heavily based on stabilization and optimization, yet people still have random bugs. It runs way better now than the early days, but non-xbox one x's still have texture loading issues. X1X still has crashes and frame drops, settings continue to revert, hit detection can be super sporadic.
There's so ma...
Good job being congratulatory Phil but take the hint that strong narrative, action heavy, adult games are viable.
Sony has my kind of exclusives, TLOU, God of War, Horizon. I applaud when MS tries to something different like Quantum Break, I loved that game and hybrid medium with the tv show. But then you drop more gears, cuphead, ori etc like seriously? Push yourselves man.
While there's a place for games like this, it's not for me. Where's our god of wars and the last of us at? Strong Narrative and gameplay, adult, gory and dark themes...I want something to get lost in.
I play it still but yes it is dead. They did too much wrong and now the content creators they depended on left the game, now they're inviting them to a summit to hear feedback on what to improve like they don't have a community forum listing it all. It's a joke of a game, shame because there's good ideas there, just terrible implementation.
I'll bank on Massive and the division keeping that promise. Once the ball got rolling, The Division became a great game despite the constant bugs. This game should be way better unless they pull a bungie and destroy the very framework of the game we have known and loved.
