What are you talking about? Most games on the PS3 and 360 run at 30FPS.
Anyway, each console has it's strengths. If a developer like Naughty Dog did make a game for the 360 you would see advantages and disadvantages in comparison to that same game on the PS3.
I love the PS3, but the fact is the vast majority of PS3 exclusives look no better than games on the 360.
I own both consoles and play games on both all the time so I know full well the graphics that each console's games offer. Games like inFamous, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Lair, LittleBigPlanet, and even MGS4 are all nice-looking games, but truthfully are not any more graphically advanced than the better-looking games on the 360. In fact, some of those aren't any be...
What a lot of nonsense in this article and in this thread. The reality is that, just as many developers have said, both consoles have their strengths and weaknesses, and they both end up with nearly equal performance in the real world.
Both consoles have some fantastic looking games. If Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 could be said to be exceptionally fantastic looking, it has more to do with the talent of those developers and the focus they put on the graphical aspects of their g...
I agree with the article. Then again, I thought that about the first game and sadly it didn't get quite the recognition for that quality that it deserved.
I've been playing video games as long as anybody (since the beginning in fact) and one thing I've learned for certain: good games are found on all platforms.
I don't know how supposed long-time gamers such as yourself can be such fanboys of one console.
The game is absolutely amazing and I am sure this issue will likely be addressed by an update. In any case, not a big deal at all.
It is amusing, though, to see the way some of the diehard PS3 fanboys flipflop on issues like this. If a 360 game has an issue like this it is blown completely out of proportion. It would be nice to see a little consistency...that's all. (BTW, what games kill your 360? I have played a lot of games on my 360 and it's still working just fine, so wh...
I agree. I don't believe this. Not impossible, but several details sound "off" to me.
I can't wait for Mass Effect 2 and I'll play it on my 360 in any case, but this whole issue serves to highlight how vital it is that Microsoft have their own studios. All this conjecture and uncertainty wouldn't be happening if the game was being made by a first party developer.
I sincerely believe that Microsoft's insistence on relying on 3rd party deals to acquire "exclusives" is hurting the 360.
I love my 360 along with my PS3, but this is one area that...
People always say that, though. GT fanboys say "it doesn't look like that on my tv" and the Forza fanboys say the same thing. And they are right --those games do look different when you see it on a HDTV. But the fact is, when you capture the output directly this is what the games look like.
@steck67
Yes, you're right. That's why every PS2 game was lacking last generation and wasn't nearly as fun as the games on the Xbox, right?
Give us a break. Graphics are important, but far more important is how a game plays and how much fun it is. That is why I loved so many PS2 games even though graphically they were far below the graphics of most Xbox games.
In any case the graphical difference between games on the 360 and PS3 is marginal at best. ...
Both games look great, but Forza 3 definitely looks better to me in these screenshots.
Yep, the game is guaranteed gold. I felt the first game didn't quite get the recognition it deserved, so it's nice to see Uncharted 2 getting such universal praise.
Demon's Souls looks amazing. The PS3 truly is having a great year and I'm loving it. Sigma 2, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2...whew, it's hard to keep up.
What? Are you saying Resistance FoM is an experience that can't be matched on any other console? If so, you're delusional. I have the game and it is pretty good, but there are lots of games on the 360 and PS3 that I would rather play.
I owned an Xbox and a PS2 last generation and I played them both about equally. So, I'd say that anybody that missed out on either of those great consoles really missed out.
Highlights on the Xbox for me were Jade Empire, Chronicles of Riddick, Otogi 1 & 2, Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, Halo, Halo 2, Fable, Ninja Gaiden Black and Deus Ex Invisible War.
On the PS2 I loved Shadow of the Colossus, God of War 1 & 2, Okami, Tenchu, Onimusha, Devil May Cr...
You're crazy. Then again, I think you aren't being sincere and are just trolling. If you don't want all the PS3 fanboys to troll on 360 articles, don't do it on PS3 articles.
They are both good games (Gears of War and Uncharted), I just happen to like Uncharted more. But why are you trolling a PS3 article?
Definitely.
I agree with what's been said above. This is a really nice ad. In fact, it is exactly the kind of ad that Sony needs to do more of. Games like Uncharted 2 deserve to be backed by good advertisement campaigns.
You're not a developer. Don't try to pull that BS.
