I actually loved the first one, so if this one is even better...wooohooo! Seriously, this is one of the biggest games I am looking forward to this year.
Definitely. We need trophy support for MGS4. It's one of the best games ever and it screams for trophy support.
She's an alien, like most of the Kojima crew. Why do you think they make such awesome games?
No, but seriously, that's a nice shot of them. They look great.
I agree, those are three of the best developers around. Although I have to admit that I have enjoyed Uncharted 1 & 2 and Killzone 2 more than anything Insomniac has done so far this generation. They are still a respected development studio though.
I know. I have a Panasonic G10 plasma and Uncharted 2 looks godly on it.
It doesn't matter what it is, I'll buy it. Naughty Dog are THAT much of a sure bet.
Am I the only one who enjoyed Ninja Blade more than Ninja Gaiden 2?
NG2 just felt so...lifeless. The action is great, but I need more from a game than just bare-bones action. And Ninja Blade, while far from perfect, at least had charm and atmosphere and some incredible set pieces. Even the story grabbed me more (and that's saying a lot, because both are pretty bad). Anyway, I just liked it more. (BTW, Ninja Blade is from the same dev studio that produced Demon's Souls)

Well, the PS3 definitely had the better year and with the Netflix announcement it is basically kicking the 360's butt in 2009. But next year looks more even. Halo Reach will likely be a massive game, but there are quite a few other 360 games that look promising as well.
This competition is insane and is, in my opinion, creating a gamer's paradise.
Killzone 3 next year or early 2011 would be awesome. Killzone 2, along with Uncharted 2, is one of my favorite online games. I play it all the time and I have to say I'm pretty damn good at it (not trying to brag). The point is, I really love it and I look forward to the next game in the series.
Killzone 2 is a total blast online and the campaign is pretty damn intense as well, not to mention that it still looks good to me even after Uncharted 2, which is a pretty big feat. ...
Count me among those who like the weighty controls and do not want to see Guerrilla attempt to make them more like the floaty controls of Call of Duty.
They are not less precise, believe me, I can aim exactly where I want and have no problem killing opponents online. The animation is different and they feel more weighty and, to me, more realistic. The controls are one of the things I really appreciate about Killzone 2. I was disappointed when Guerrilla tried to appease the COD...
True. And you guys hate the 360 because your moms won't buy you one. That is the most common cause of fanboys--they only have one console and feel the need to attack the other consoles to make themselves feel better about not owning them.
Owning a PS3 and a 360 goes a long way towards curing fanboyism. Try it.
I agree. Saying it fails because it is like Halo is just fanboy talk for the most part. I understand if some are saying that because they feel Resistance 2 changed from its roots, but it seems some fanboys are just using it as an excuse to take a dig at Halo.
I don't know why some people can't just be fans of games.
I own Resistance FOM and thought it was an excellent game for the PS3's early period, but I never got around to buying Resistance 2. It got scores mostly around the 90 range didn't it? I'm surprised to hear some people thought it was a failure. Were reviewers just being too nice to the game?
I was planning to get around to buying it eventually. Should I not?
You're both full of crap. I just got done playing Killzone 2 for about 8 hours and I love it. By far one of the best shooters I have ever played and has kept me coming back like few shooters before it.
Halo is also a really good game. Do you think millions of hardcore gamers play it because it is a crappy game? Does it matter that Metal Gear Solid 4 is also sub-HD, or does that only apply to 360 games?
The only reason you guys think that way is because you are fa...
I have been saying this for awhile. The Wii largely appeals to a different demographic and is not a direct competitor to the PS3 or 360. There might be a 10% overlap or something like that, but the vast majority of consumers are not going to be standing in the store saying "hmm...should I get a Wii or a PS3".
Saying the Wii is a direct competitor to the HD consoles would be like saying that a Fisher Price kid's camera is a direct competitor to the better digital camer...
It's kind of absurd the way sites will go out of their way to find glitches in games. But the fact is, all games have glitches. Yes, Uncharted 2 has a few glitches, but the game doesn't feel glitchy--far from it, actually. It, in fact, feels supremely well made.
That said, it's interesting that many of the same people that were in the Forza 3 glitch article trashing the game on that basis are now in this article saying how it is no big deal. I fully agree that these glitches ...
I'll turn that around and ask: if the PS3 is more powerful, shouldn't it be showing it with better-looking multi-platform games?
It's down to the developers, you say, and what they do with the hardware? Then, might that also be the reason some PS3 exclusives look so great?
Why is it that if a PS3 game looks poor it is claimed to be "the fault of the developer", but if a PS3 game looks great it is because "the hardware is simply better"?
...
Ha ha, you're funny.
If you think most PS3 exclusives are anywhere near the quality of Uncharted 2 you are truly lost, my friend.
That was great. I love the Japanese.
