Great blog. I completely agree. If Sony does things right, their premium service will far surpass that offered by XBL and maybe even push MS to offer better stuff and/or lower the price.

Oh no, Halo will sell that's for sure. I'm just saying Mario (the character) is a lot bigger than Halo or any other video game franchise could ever be. I mean think about it. Mario is associated with gaming as whole not just Nintendo consoles, but all of gaming. I'm not bashing Halo or anything, but a LOT more people around the entire world know about Mario yet don't have a clue who Master Chef is. See my point?

Mario and Halo just don't compare. Mario is leaps and bounds more popular and beloved than Halo or arguably any other video game franchise will ever be.
Halo literally carried the original Xbox on it's back. Halo made the Xbox not the other way around. It also helped push FPS on consoles (following the success of Goldeneye and PD) and online competitive play on consoles to new heights. While I'm not very satisfied with this gen of Halo games, there's no denying that Halo CE and Halo 2 really paved the way for this generation.

Yea, I would have given it to Resistance as well (or LBP, uh hard choice), but Patapon 2 is still a great game. Loads of fun.
I loved the Dreamcast. I still play it once in a while. That's pretty much the only reason not to like the PS2. It killed the Dreamcast, but life goes on.
I've played Killzone 2 and inFAMOUS and I plan to buy Borderlands. I still don't know about Dragon Age. Is it kinda like a medieval version of Mass Effect or totally different?

Final chance for what? PS3 leads Japan 4-1 compared to the 360, is beating the 360 in Europe, has the best lineup this year and next, has some of the highest rated games this gen, offers a wide variety of features, and is selling like crazy.

Sony is going to make Premium worth the price and if they do, I'll happily pay for it. As I've said before, I don't mind paying as long as I get my money's worth.
The PS2 is the greatest console ever made (of course, that's my opinion. Some would say it's the SNES, or N64 etc). Sony will keep supporting it as long as it sells.
People wonder why 360 games sell so much more in the US than PS3 games and call the PS3 a "failure" becuase of it yet they almost always seem to forget that:
1. The 360 leads 2:1 in NA
2.NA is the only thing keeping the 360 from being outsold (even with a ONE year head start.
