These issues are quite minor compared to today's issues that console gamers have to deal today. Like re-buy classic games at full price of $60.00,pay to play online, DLC, microtransanctions on $60.00 games (Dead Space 3,the crew, Gran Turismo 6). Broken games, patches, and hard drives that can get corrupted, fill as quickly as memory cards but are more expensive than memory cards (memory card $30.00, hard drive $80-$100.00). All of today's console issues drove me to PC gaming.

The Getaway was the first game to bring clutter free screen that we know hate/love today. Basically no health bars,no maps, no grip bar,etc on screen. Everything was done via gameplay like use the lights of the car to guide the player, hide away from baddies to heal, etc. Not a masterpiece but it was the game that brought screen free gameplay.

That was true back in the day not anymore. MOBAs is a new gaming genre brought by modders. 4k gaming is only available on PC. The best of Hololens and VR will be on the PC. Sadly console gaming is not as good as it used to be, the variety in console games has dropped dramatically, Pay to play online, DLC, re-buy the same game at the same price,along with microtransanctions on $60.00 games plus tax has become the norm. The problem lies with console gamers extreme loyalty to corporations and the fact, they are easy to please.
Lucky for us PC gamers there's plenty of games to play.
That's what's happening to console gaming at the moment. Too many remasters not a lot of innovative new ips. Remasters are there to rip console gamers off, backwards compatibility was the better option.
