Is a start a whole lot better than what EA is doing with battlefont or Square Enix with Rise of tomb raider or microtransanctions with MGS V. Consoles are not powerful enough to get the beastly mods of PC; however, it will hopefully wake console gamers to see that mods are just free dlc/microtransanctions.

I agree, I see Microsoft shifting from making console hardware to strengthening Xbox Live from a console service into a brand. The big picture is playing games on your couch through your smart tv. Just clicking on the Xbox Live icon using the xbox elite controller ( I don't see another gamepad topping it). Is the end of console hardware, the battle of software has begun. Consoles have run their course there's nothing new for consoles to offer anymore.
