I agree and the best option is to let gamers publish the game instead. Kickstarter/early access are far from perfect but is better than what gamers get from corporate game developers.

Previous Star Wars battlefront game had:

Single player campaign
Conquest Mode
Space Battles
Voice chat
Able to drive any vehicle and able to see player getting on vehicle

Allowed gamers to play on the ground take the battle to the air and then space.

Had free emoticons

Im sorry but as a huge star wars fan I am not buying a $60.00 game that has less content than its predecessor

Well said is like PlayStation fanboys crying and complaining about having to pay to play online during last generation. As soon as Sony started charging to pay to play online the PlayStation fanboys cave in. PC gamers are the only ones that do stand up against corporations with no help of the media. PC gamers forced Activision to drop the auction house from Diablo 3 (microtransanctions), told both Valve/Bethesda to kick rocks in regards to pay mods (videogame journalists were pissed that pay ...

Ok ummm but we gamers are treated like att cell phone users. To pay everything piece meal 😿. The only way gaming is going to get better is to get gaming out of corporate. Kickstarter/early access are the only shining of hope this generation. I would rather publish a game than buy a souless game from a greedy corporation

Is a business I get it, game developers make money by making games. The video game industry is the only industry to lack coupons, reward program, loyalty program ,poor to non-existent customer service, the one where consumers have no cajones like you. My god back in the PS2 days a game would cost $50.00 with online gaming/single player campaign, map editor, free unlockables (hidden levels, characters, skins, etc.) mini games, cheat codes that allowed flying cars on GTA san andreas. Sideques...

Great review, I hope this game bombs financially for it represents everything wrong with modern gaming. A online game with no voice chat. A franchise known for its space battles and the game lacks say space battles. Less content that "Star Wars Battlefront 2". EA has the audacity to charge $60.00 for it and offer a $50.00 season pass bleh. Really come on, anyone that defends this game is just a corporate slave.

For a 🎮 with no voice chat (extremely necessary for online gaming and the downfall of resident evil online circa ps2). No space battles despite the fact that Star Wars is centered around space battles. No conquest mode, no single player campaign, etc. This game should of cost $20.00 tops or should of being free to play. Better yet early access for that's what this game is an early access title.

$60.00 for online only games terrible. Unless Call of Duty costs $30.00 for online only that's fine but everyone knows is not going to happen. Single player campaign justifies the price of call of duty and it comes in handy once the servers of the online portion of the game get shut down. That's the downside of online gaming on consoles once the developer shuts down the servers no more online gaming. So who is willing to pay for an online game at $60.00 for only one year or six months...

I might check it out

This game represents everything wrong with modern gaming. Rushed to meet the release of Star Wars the Force Awakens. No space battles (a main feature for star wars films), no single player campaign, conquest mode, vehicles, etc. $50.00 season pass..... If this game sells as good as call of duty then yes gaming will get worse

What I wrote only works on open world games not linear games probably point and click adventure games.

Environmental destruction that's what is missing in open world games. Also to have repercussions for failing missions meaning instead of say get stuck on a mission (failing and failing over and over), be able to continue regardless of success/failure and see the consequences of the players failure. For example, the player failed to kill the dragon instead of trying over and over to kill the dragon ;failing to do so, the dragon destroys the village/villages nearby. Seeing the destruction ...

I want to agree with you, but modders brought a very realistic A.I. to Fallout New Vegas/Skyrim. So its doable, is just not being done that's all

3866d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Why not delay the game until is truly ready.

3868d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It has no voice chat
No single player campaign
No conquest mode
Can't drive AT AT

Is as barebones as it gets. You just a corporate slave. For crying out loud every single call of duty comes with:

Single player campaign
Voice Chat
Lan Support
Offline multiplayer

It comes out every year. Hell last year call of duty had kevin spacey (A list actor) and still manage to get the game done in one year....

Well there's a lot of Star Wars idiots that will buy this game. If I were EA I would gladly made a Star Wars with microtransanctions, $60.00 season pass, no vehicles and one game mode. Sell it for $60.00 and be rich. Seriously gamers have no cajones anymore
