Corporate publishers see survival horror as a niche, non-profitable genre. Indie game developers let their games do the talking, are creative, listen to fans, and make games on what they like. In contrast corporate publishers/developers is all about profits.

These games are so barebone that the gamer needs to spend on DLC like crazy. There's less and less gaming content in today's games. In order to get more content out of the game a gamer must pay for DLC. Rarely is DLC free. Don't get me started on microtransanctions in $60....
